Local dishes take center stage for Filipino Food Month

April welcomes the Filipino Food Month, and Newport World Resorts’ award-winning restaurants celebrate the occasion in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts with 11 featured dishes following the theme of “Engaging the Youth in Shaping the Future of Philippine Culinary Heritage and Gastronomy.”

Casa Buenas at Newport Garden Wing offers a version of sinuglaw, a regional dish from the Visayas and Mindanao which balances savory and tangy flavors through grilled pork, tuna ceviche and toyomansi gelée.

Sheraton Manila Hotel brings the culinary heritage of Cebu to the metro with its iteration of the slow-roasted pork belly known as Cebuchon, seasoned with aromatic herbs and spices.

Kapampangan Sisig at Hilton Manila, Newport World Resorts

Taste the savory flavors of the North with Hilton Manila’s Kapampangan sisig.

Hotel Okura Manila’s Wagyu Bistek Tagalog is made of thinly sliced premium Japanese wagyu marinated in Yamasa soy sauce and yuzu juice.

Marriott Manila’s Siquijor-style Chicken Matar reflects culinary traditions through tender chicken simmered then garnished with fresh herbs. Garden Wing Cafe boasts the Beef Tenderloin Prime Tapa.
