My current concealer rotation
I used to carry one concealer and expect it to fix everything. Some days it worked. Most days it didn’t. The under-eyes needed something lighter, breakouts needed something stronger, and on good skin days, I didn’t want to look like I was wearing much at all.
So I stopped trying to make one formula do the job of five. This is the rotation I’ve settled into. It is small, specific, and perhaps a little extra. Each one has a place, and once I figured out where they actually work best, everything started to look more like skin again.
1. For color correcting the under-eyes
For under-eyes, I don’t go straight in with concealer anymore. I always start with the Bobbi Brown Corrector. I apply the thinnest layer possible, just enough to neutralize any darkness, and I like to do this before foundation, almost like prepping the area rather than covering it.

What I like about this line is that it isn’t just one universal peach. There are multiple variations within the peach spectrum, making it easier to find a shade that complements different skin tones rather than leaning too pink or too orange. The result looks far more natural and balanced on the skin.
It also comes in a pot, which gives it a slightly thicker texture than a liquid. That added weight helps it grip the skin and stay in place, especially when layered with another concealer on top. Despite the texture, it never feels heavy. It simply neutralizes the tones that tend to make the under-eye area look tired.
2. For brightening certain points of the face
For brightening, I go in with the Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Concealer. This is applied after foundation, layered over the color corrector.
I focus it on the high points, the inner corners, under the brow bones, and slightly along the sides of the nose. It’s less about covering and more about lifting the face in a subtle way.
What I like about this is how well it layers over the corrector. The formula is very thin and fluid, almost watery, which allows it to sit smoothly on top without disrupting what’s underneath. And even with something thicker underneath, it doesn’t turn cakey. It blends easily, feels lightweight, and gives that clean brightness that actually makes a difference without looking obvious.
3. To cover blemishes
For blemishes, I keep it simple and just use the Teviant Ultimate Skin Master Concealer. It’s full coverage, with a finish very similar to the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, but slightly more pigmented, especially for a liquid formula. I used to reach for the Nars one all the time, but since trying this, it has taken over.

Being liquid, it doesn’t immediately read as heavy-duty, but it covers thoroughly. It blends easily into the skin and melts into whatever base is already on, so it never looks obvious or patchy.
It delivers high coverage without requiring much effort. There’s no need to build or overwork it. It simply does what it needs to do. The fact that it’s local and affordable makes it even better. It’s one of those products that exceeds expectations.
4. Skin-first days
I get that not everyone wants to wear a full base every day, and some days, the skin doesn’t need it. Those are the moments to reach for something that sits on the skin, not over it. Not full coverage, just enough to soften small imperfections while still letting the skin show through.
That’s where the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Care & Glow Serum Concealer comes in. This is the one I use when skipping foundation entirely.

It has a slightly glassy finish that makes the skin look fresh rather than made up. The texture is very serum-like, so it blends in quickly, almost disappears into the skin, and doesn’t cling or build up in a noticeable way.
It’s not trying to fully cover everything, and that’s exactly why it works. The skin still comes through, just more even and well-rested.
5. If you were only choosing one
If I had to be reasonable and only pick one concealer, this would be it. The Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Hydrating & Brightening Concealer feels like the most complete, all-around option in my rotation.
It’s definitely more of an investment, and a bit harder to find locally since Armani Beauty isn’t as widely available here yet, but it’s one of those products that you instantly fall in love with the moment you use it.

For no-makeup days, it melts into the skin in a way that doesn’t sit on top or look obvious. It just becomes part of your skin—soft, seamless, and really natural-looking. At the same time, it builds well. For more coverage, it layers easily over foundation and works particularly well on areas that are harder to conceal.
That balance is what makes it work across different routines. It isn’t limited to one use. It adapts depending on how it’s applied, which is why it feels like the most complete concealer in the lineup.
