New spaces, smarter tech, and sweeter experiences
A new store, a toothbrush with a camera, and a handbag-inspired bakery takeover are not exactly obvious companions. But that is what makes this month’s mix interesting. Muji has opened another Quezon City address, Dyson is introducing machines that can increasingly see and respond to what is happening around them, and Tory Burch has brought the Romy bag into a setting where you can order coffee and dessert alongside it.
Here is what’s new and what’s worth knowing.
Dyson’s next generation of machines can see, think, and respond
At Dyson Unveiled 2026 in Berlin, the brand introduced 10 new products spanning oral care, floor cleaning, air purification, and hair styling. This time, the focus is on machines equipped with artificial intelligence, vision systems, and machine learning, allowing them to react more closely to what they are cleaning, styling, or even brushing.
The most unexpected launch may be the Dyson CameraJet, which brings the brand into oral care. The connected toothbrush combines brushing, targeted liquid flossing, and mouthwash dispensing, with an integrated camera that identifies gaps between teeth in real time and directs mouthrinse toward them. The MyDyson app can even show brushing coverage and give personalized feedback.

Around the home, the new Nurovi robot range adds more intelligence to floor care. The top-end R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV uses UV light and AI vision to identify stains and repeatedly clean them until they are removed, while other models have been designed to get closer to edges and corners and adjust their cleaning according to dust levels and floor type.

There is plenty for the hair-tool obsessed, too. The Corrale CoolShine straightener pairs Dyson’s flexing plates with a new cooling attachment that draws excess heat away from the hair as you style. Dyson says the technology can deliver up to 29 percent less heat damage while still producing sleek, glossy results.
Meanwhile, the Airsmooth is Dyson’s first dedicated hot-air brush, which uses two types of flexible bristles to dry, smooth, and add lift while reducing snagging and frizz. It is essentially Dyson’s answer to the one-tool blowout, with intelligent heat control measuring temperature 100 times a second.
Philippine launch dates and pricing have yet to be announced
Muji finds a new home in Eastwood
The Japanese lifestyle brand opened its 13th Philippine store on Aug. 28. Located on the ground floor of the 1800 Building in Eastwood City, the 984-square-meter branch gives the brand another Quezon City address—and carries its broad assortment across clothing, bags, beauty, stationery, furniture, household essentials, storage, and bedding.
The branch also comes with a few services that make a physical visit more useful. In-house alterations are available for select clothing, including simple shortening for denim and chinos, while shoppers can also pick up green plants alongside Muji’s usual home pieces.

The opening also came just in time for anyone already thinking ahead to 2027. Muji’s new planners and calendars include monthly and weekly formats in different sizes, layouts, and cover styles, as well as desktop and wall calendars for keeping the year in view.

After debuting exclusively at Eastwood during opening week, the collection became available at other Muji stores beginning Sept. 2.

Tory Burch turns the Romy into a bakery
Tory Burch has found a sweeter way to introduce the Romy bag in Manila. Running until Sept. 25, The Romy Bakery takes over Flour Pot Bistro & Bakery in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) for a limited-time collaboration inspired by the brand’s Romy handbag collection.
Instead of simply displaying the bags, Tory Burch has worked the Romy into the space itself. A sculptural installation sits at the entrance, while branded coffee cups, sleeves, dessert packaging, and a specially created menu carry the concept through the bakery.

At the center of it all is a handbag designed to be decidedly easy to live with. Made in soft pebbled leather, the Romy comes as a large tote, small tote, and bucket bag. The large tote is roomy enough to double as a travel carry-on, while the smaller versions have top handles and removable crossbody straps.
You do not need to be shopping for a new bag to drop by either. The collaboration includes a selection of Tory Burch pastries and drinks, making this one fashion activation you can experience over coffee and dessert.
The Romy Bakery is open through Sept. 25 at Flour Pot Bistro & Bakery in BGC
