Whether you’re preparing a meal for one or feeding a family, these recipes celebrate the natural goodness of seafood with fresh, locally inspired flavors.
Lemon Butter Gindara Fillet
- 1 fillet black cod (gindara)
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sear the gindara fillet for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown.
Remove the fish from the pan and set aside. In the same pan, melt butter, and sauté garlic until fragrant.
Add lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
Return the fish to the pan and spoon the lemon butter sauce over it for 1 to 2 minutes.
Serve with some salad, steamed rice, or sautéed vegetables.

Baked Salmon with Creamy Garlic Sauce
- 1 fillet Norwegian salmon
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ c all-purpose cream
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- ¼ c grated cheese (optional)
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line a baking tray with foil and lightly grease it with olive oil.
Place the salmon on the tray, season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add cream and stir well.
Pour the creamy garlic sauce over the salmon. Sprinkle grated cheese if desired.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
Serve with steamed vegetables and rice.

Crispy Cream Dory with Spiced Vinegar Dip
- 2 cream dory fillets, cut into strips
- ½ c flour
- ½ c cornstarch
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- Oil for frying
Mix flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Dip fish strips in egg, then coat with flour mixture.
Heat oil and deep-fry until golden brown.
Serve with spiced vinegar or garlic mayo.
