On ghosts and good luck

Avatar

A Chinese-Filipino billionaire, who owned a chain of jewelry shops, was in and out of the hospital. Psychic Francis Benedict Gaw, upon visiting the client’s residence, felt the presence of elementals in the bedroom. As his ritual, he offered Chinese spirit money, in the form of joss paper. When the ghosts were expelled, the client regained his health and gifted Gaw with a Jaguar.

In another case, a family experienced a succession of deaths. Despite consulting geomancers, they found no relief. Gaw asked who had died first. Learning that it was the matriarch, he went to the cemetery.

“Somebody has been living in her grave,” he advised. “Your family had incurred a debt with that soul. We need to make an offering, and the family will have a newborn again.”

Gaw told the eldest son, whose own son had died young, that the spirit of his son would enter his wife’s womb.

“I have a tough job,” says Gaw. “People call because they have questions about financial losses or business expansion. Feng shui is easy. It only takes 10 to 30 minutes to survey the place, depending on the size. The hardest is to get rid of negative energies—evil spirits. That’s what troubles many people. I burn down the ‘houses of the impure spirits’ or make an offering of food and money.”

Embraced by a spirit

Eight out of 10 clients are plagued by these spirits. They send photos that Gaw has verified are not the result of camera tricks.

One photo shows two children taking a groufie with a transparent white figure looming behind them. Another photo depicts the vaporous silhouette of a woman behind the laundry area. In yet another, a ghostly hand can be seen accepting joss paper being offered to the fire. Photos of people with spooky photobombers are commonplace.

“I’ve had cancer patients who were healed when I removed ghosts from their homes,” says Gaw, showing a photo of incense, water, food and paper money as offerings. “One couple tried to have children for 10 years, but the wife suffered three miscarriages. I burned the ‘houses’ of the ghosts by lighting incense there.” The wife finally gave birth to a boy who was named Francis Benedict.

Gaw observes that he hasn’t encountered an unattractive client who was under the spell of an evil spirit. “Many are maids. They are unhappy in Manila, which makes them prone to possession or influence,” he says.

He cites a client who would wake up at night being embraced by a spirit. When the husband would come home, the ghost would make them quarrel. The man would sleep in another room while the ghost had the wife to himself. Gaw saw the ghost and burned the “house.” The male spirit said goodbye in her dreams, he says.

Gaw has also practiced exorcism. “The victim’s voice changes. The eyes turn clockwise and counterclockwise. Sometimes the body bends like a letter U. Then the spirit will leave and look for another victim,” he says.

Gaw cites an exorcism where the demon chased away the priest who came to exorcise the victim. It also banished the faith healer and pastor. He claims to be fortunate to have exorcised the ghost. “I have an insignia from Up Above.”

Late bloomer

Despite lacking formal training in feng shui or clairvoyance, Gaw’s supernatural abilities emerged unexpectedly at age 32. This discovery led him to blend his business acumen with his psychic gifts.

His day job is the family-owned Golden Touch Imaging which, in collaboration with Focal Point Advertising, set a Guinness World Record for the largest outdoor sticker advertisement in 2008. The record-breaking sticker wrapped the 29-story PET Plans Tower on Edsa. The sticker featured a Levi’s ad campaign and measured 200 feet high by 235 feet wide. It covered three faces of the building for a total area of 4,366 square meters—the equivalent to the space of 20 billboards.

Aside from professional achievements, Gaw has also made notable predictions. One such instance was his encounter with then Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte in an elevator at the Parklane Hotel in Hong Kong in 2010. He had his picture taken with the politician. His intuition led him to believe that Duterte would one day become president of the Philippines, a prediction that ultimately came true.

The psychic’s influence extends to the personal lives of celebrities and public figures. He has been sought for his advice on auspicious dates, such as the wedding of celebrity doctors Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho, which he chose to take place on Sept. 2, 2017. His clientele also includes well-known personalities such as Vice Ganda, Marian Rivera, Ivana Alawi, and politicians like Bong Go and William Gatchalian.

Predictions and warnings

The psychic has also demonstrated his ability to influence business outcomes through feng shui. He was brought in to consult with a struggling casual dining chain, recommending specific adjustments in the interiors to harness positive energy. Following his advice, the company not only avoided insolvency but also experienced significant growth and expansion.

Regarding the Philippines’ future, the psychic remains optimistic, assuring that the ongoing tensions in the West Philippine Sea will not significantly impact the country’s privilege to enjoy a happy Christmas. However, he acknowledges that it’s too early to provide a detailed forecast for 2025.

According to numerology, the year’s numbers suggest a focus on relationships and the potential for both conflict and reconciliation among friends. Additionally, he predicts a surge in financial activity from December to May.

The psychic emphasizes the importance of discerning genuine feng shui consultants and psychics. He warns against those who are personally struggling or lack wealth, as their claims of expertise may be hypocritical. Drawing on the parable of the false prophets, he advises people to be cautious and evaluate individuals based on their actions and results.
