Pilates studios worth trying around Tomas Morato
Pilates has become part of my weekly routine, and one of the best things about living around Tomas Morato is having so many great studios just minutes away. No two are exactly alike—some specialize in classical reformer Pilates, others blend movement with wellness treatments, while one lets you train on your own schedule.
After trying my way through most of them, these are the studios I’d happily recommend.
Core Pilates Studio
Every Pilates princess has that studio—the one they always come back to. For me, it’s Core Pilates.
I’ve tried studios all over Metro Manila, but I always end up booking another class here. The coaching is what keeps me coming back. The classes are challenging, thoughtfully programmed, and focused on building real strength rather than simply getting through an hour on the reformer.
If you’re ready to level up, I’d highly recommend taking coach Yulo’s intermediate class. It’s tough in the best way possible. By the time class is over, every tiny stabilizing muscle you didn’t know existed has introduced itself. Your legs are shaking, your core is on fire, and you’re reminded why Pilates has the reputation that it does. If I’m paying for a class, that’s exactly how I want to leave feeling.
Coach Angie is another favorite. Her teaching leans more toward classical Pilates, with a strong emphasis on control, alignment, and precision. She has this way of making the smallest adjustments completely change an exercise. The movement barely looks different yet suddenly your core is working twice as hard. Honestly, I credit a lot of the strength I’ve built to her classes.
Core also offers group classes that incorporate the Pilates chair, which isn’t something you see at every studio. Fair warning though: the chair is my enemy. It may be smaller than the reformer, but it demands so much balance and control that it somehow makes the reformer feel easy.

Next+ Wellness
If you’re looking to switch things up, Next+ Wellness offers one of the more unique Pilates experiences in the neighborhood.
The studio was among the first in the Philippines to introduce red light reformer Pilates, combining a traditional reformer workout with red light therapy throughout the session.
Red light therapy has become one of wellness’ biggest buzzwords, with studies suggesting it may help support muscle recovery, reduce post-workout soreness, and stimulate collagen production. Even if you’re just curious about the trend, it’s an interesting way to pair recovery with your workout.
The class itself still delivers everything you’d expect from reformer Pilates, but the soft red glow gives the studio a different atmosphere. It feels a little calmer, a little more spa-like—even if your abs are working just as hard.

247 Pilates
If your schedule changes from week to week, 247 Pilates offers one of the most flexible ways to do reformer Pilates.
The studio is home to Reformer+, the first self-guided reformer Pilates concept in the Philippines. Every reformer is equipped with its own screen, giving you access to a library of more than 1,000 guided workouts. Simply pop in your AirPods, choose a class based on your fitness level or the muscle group you want to target, and train at your own pace.
No schedules, no waiting for the next class to begin, just Pilates whenever it works for you.
Before training independently, everyone completes three introductory one-on-one sessions to learn proper technique and how to use the reformer safely. But once you’ve completed the onboarding sessions, you can sign up for the studio’s monthly unlimited membership, giving you unlimited access to the Reformer+ machines.
Instead of purchasing classes by the pack, you can come in as often as you’d like, making it a great option for anyone who wants to build a consistent Pilates routine.
Synapse Wellness
If you’re looking to mix up your Pilates routine, Synapse Wellness is well worth a visit.
I’ll admit it, I think mat Pilates is actually harder than reformer. Without springs or a carriage to support you, it’s just your body weight doing all the work. Every movement demands strength, control, and stability, which is why I have so much respect for anyone who makes it look effortless.
What makes Synapse different is that it’s more than just a Pilates studio. Guided by an integrative approach to wellness, it brings together movement, recovery, and holistic therapies under one roof. Alongside mat Pilates, they also offer yoga, spine-focused movement classes, manual therapy, sauna and cold plunge, red light therapy, the Bio Pulse Mat, and hydrogen therapy.
Whether you’re looking to recover after a tough workout or simply spend a morning focusing on your well-being, it’s the kind of place where you can do it all in one visit.
Ultra Lagree
At first glance, Lagree looks a lot like reformer Pilates. There’s a moving carriage, slow and controlled movements, and plenty of shaking. But they’re actually two different workouts.
Performed on the Megaformer, Lagree combines strength training, cardio, and muscular endurance into one low-impact workout. The constant time under tension keeps your muscles working from start to finish, making it noticeably more intense than a traditional reformer class.
If you’ve been doing Pilates for a while and are looking for your next challenge, Ultra Lagree in Scout Rallos is well worth trying. Think of it as Pilates’ tougher cousin—the kind of workout that leaves you feeling strong, sweaty, and completely humbled.
