Raise a stein to the grandest Bavarian feast in Manila

Steins raised in cheer with the aroma of freshly baked pretzels in the air and music rising above long tables filled with laughter—this is the essence of Oktoberfest. A tradition that began in Munich in 1810 with the wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese. A celebration so spirited that it grew into an annual tradition and evolved into the Oktoberfest celebrated across the world today. More than two centuries later, it has become the world’s most iconic feast of food and beer. From October 8 to 11, Newport World Resorts brings that legacy to Manila with the grandest Oktoberfest yet at The Ballroom, Hilton Manila Newport World Resorts.

Imagine steins filled to the brim, blue and white banners overhead, and the warm glow of string lights dancing on long communal tables. The air carries the aroma of roasted pork knuckle sizzling beside sausage platters, and the sharp tang of sauerkraut and richness of Spaetzle.

Guests may help themselves from a sumptuous buffet filled with authentic Bavarian specialties. Laugen pretzels with creamy Obatzda and freshly baked rye breads set the tone, joined by Bavarian cheeses and cured meats. Carving stations serve pork knuckle, meatloaf, and chicken schnitzel, while Spaetzle, Bratkartoffeln, braised red cabbage, and sauerkraut bring hearty flavors to the table. Sweet endings await in the form of apple strudel, Kaiserschmarrn drizzled with strawberry compote, jam filled Krapfen, and whimsical gingerbread hearts. The spread captures the spirit of Bavaria in all stations, from savory staples to sweet traditions.

Every pour is a nod to heritage. Weihenstephan, the world’s oldest brewery, flows with Weissbier and Lager on draft, and dark beer by the bottle. Centuries of craftsmanship give each stein a story, each toast a warm connection to Bavarian roots.
