Summer beauty bonanza
When the summer season starts to sizzle, beauty enthusiasts know to start sashaying their way to Rustan’s The Beauty Source for thrilling prizes and promos.
Celebrating its sixth year last Thursday, “GRLPWR: Summer in Full Color” at Shangri-La Plaza was a flurry of Henri Matisse-inspired hues, fun parlor games, catchy beats care of DJ Xiro, and special treats. Gals—and guys—spent the afternoon cooling down with popsicles, hopping from one booth to another to try their luck and score some cosmetic products and paraphernalia.
Winning prizes was as easy as simply signing up, shoveling perfume samples out of a sandbox, spinning a roulette, rolling dice, or dropping a ball at Plinko. There were, however, more difficult challenges like mini golf, ring toss, memory game, shooting colored bean bags into matching holes in under 10 seconds, maneuvering a board or a curvy paddle to get balls into holes, guessing the order of hidden perfume bottles, and even guessing the scents of essential oils.
Guests also got to do other fun activities like have their pics taken at a photo booth and get a complimentary hair makeover.

But the excitement didn’t end there: Promos continue for Rustan’s Beauty Addict members who will get an exclusive Aranáz Theresa mini bag for a minimum purchase of P30,000 until April 30.
Until May 31, every P5,000 worth of purchase at The Beauty Source earns Beauty Addict members one entry to join the raffle to win a four-day, three-night stay for two at the North One Villa of Banwa Private Island, inclusive of round-trip flights.
Beauty Addict members also get a chance to jack up their earned points fivefold with any purchase at The Beauty Source until March 31. Nonmembers need only do a minimum single-receipt spend worth P2,500 to become a Beauty Addict member.
