The anti-delicate jewelry trends taking over summer
This summer, jewelry is moving away from anything too delicate. The barely-there pieces that once dominated everyday styling are starting to feel a little too quiet, replaced by accessories with more texture, color, and personality.
Bezel-set stones, inlaid gems, colorful beads, cord necklaces, sculptural collars, and stacked bangles are all having a moment right now. Some lean nostalgic, others feel more modern and architectural, but all of them share the same energy.
Here are some jewelry trends making summer dressing a little more fun.
Bezel-set jewelry
Bezel-set jewelry is easily one of my favorite jewelry trends this season. There’s something about the setting that feels incredibly chic right now. It’s clean, modern, and a little more understated than traditional prong settings.
But beyond aesthetics, it is also one of the most durable settings you can choose. Instead of small prongs holding the stone in place, the metal fully frames it, protecting the gem on all sides and preventing it from catching onto clothing or hair throughout the day. If you are even slightly clumsy like me, it makes so much sense, especially for sentimental diamonds or pieces you plan to wear constantly.
What makes the trend feel especially fresh right now is how designers are reworking it in more unexpected ways. One of my newer discoveries has been Welcome to Manis, a local jewelry brand creating bezel-set lab-grown diamonds in matte titanium settings that come in different colors. It feels modern, slightly industrial, and unlike the traditional fine jewelry we’re used to seeing.

Inlaid gems
Inlaid gems are another jewelry trend gaining momentum this summer. It is not something people are talking about as loudly yet, but that almost makes it feel cooler. The detailing feels a little more artisanal and unexpected compared to classic stone settings, adding texture, color, and dimension in a way that instantly catches your eye.
There’s something very elevated about the way the stones are embedded directly into the metal. It feels sculptural, slightly vintage, and a little more design-forward than traditional gemstone jewelry. Even smaller pieces instantly feel more special because of the added texture and craftsmanship.

Beaded jewelry
Beaded jewelry is fully back this summer, and honestly, it feels like one of the defining accessory trends of the season. Candy-colored beads, shell pendants, starfish charms, and vibrant gemstone details are everywhere right now, bringing a playful energy to summer dressing.
What makes beaded jewelry especially interesting is how many different directions it can go. You can lean into oversized, statement-making beads that instantly become the focal point of an outfit, or go the opposite route with smaller, more delicate strands designed for layering. Personally, I love layering beaded pieces with longer gold chains or mixing them with other textures.
One of my favorite brands when it comes to summer jewelry is Heyjow. Their pieces feel very aligned with this trend, incorporating colorful gemstones, crystals, and charms into handcrafted designs. They’re especially known for their layered necklaces and druzy pendants, finished with matte gold chains and details that give the pieces a softer, more understated elegance.

Cord necklaces
Cord necklaces, especially paracord styles, have been steadily gaining traction over the past year, and it feels like even more people are starting to warm up to the trend this summer. They bring a more relaxed approach to accessorizing compared to traditional metal chains while still adding a strong visual element to an outfit.
The most common version right now tends to be a single pendant worn on a cord necklace, usually styled longer and more minimal. Tiffany & Co. probably has one of the most recognizable versions with the Elsa Peretti Bean pendant, but what I like most about this trend is how easy it is to personalize and DIY. You can easily take an existing pendant you already own and swap the original chain for a cord or paracord version to make it feel more casual, playful, and a little cooler for summer.

Collar necklaces
Collar necklaces are becoming one of the chicest jewelry silhouettes right now. Unlike delicate chains that disappear into an outfit, what I especially love are torque-style collar necklaces, which feel a little more sculptural and unusual compared to traditional statement necklaces.
There’s something very strong and intentional about the shape. Even when styled with something as simple as a tank top, linen dress, or strapless neckline, it immediately changes the entire look. Despite being more statement-making, they still feel incredibly wearable because the styling itself remains clean.
A lot of the newer versions also play with organic curves, uneven metalwork, resin details, or sculptural finishes, which keeps the trend feeling modern rather than overly polished or formal. There’s also a really nice balance to them. They feel bold without being overly loud, which is probably why they work so well for summer styling.

Chunky bangles
Chunky bangles are having a major moment this season, bringing a stronger, more sculptural energy to summer jewelry. Stacked together, they add texture, dimension, and movement in a way that instantly gives an outfit more presence.
What makes them especially interesting right now is the mix of materials and finishes. Resin bangles, mixed metals, organic shapes, and thicker silhouettes all feel very current, especially when layered together rather than worn on their own. As someone who genuinely loves jewelry, I think this is one of the easiest trends to have fun with because there really are no strict rules to styling them.
There’s also something incredibly chic about chunky bangles layered over longer sleeves during nighttime dinners or events, especially when paired with simpler outfits that let the jewelry stand out more.
