Making history as the first Filipina of African-American descent to represent the country, Manalo is honored by Jewelmer for her remarkable journey to the Miss Universe stage.

Manalo reflected on a profound time during her Miss Universe journey: “I felt most powerful when it was the press presentation for Miss Universe Philippines. I came into that competition strong, I knew what I was capable of, and no matter what challenges will come my way, I’m already as powerful as I can be.”
When asked if she had any pearls of wisdom to impart, she said, “Whatever it is that you aspire to be, then dream big. Don’t be afraid to take risks, do everything with kindness, and be humble.”
Breaking barriers and inspiring every Filipina to reach for the stars, Manalo continues to radiate positivity to the universe.
