The next adventure
“How people treat you is their karma. How you react is yours.” – Wayne W. Dyer
Perhaps the most beautiful thing about this life is that, right up until our final reunion with God, we will always have a “next.” Bad times don’t last forever—instead, they always lead to a new day, a next one that gives us the chance to change our mindsets and improve our lives.
We never have to feel stuck in old patterns or in narratives that other people have written for us. There will always be another opportunity to define for ourselves the kind of life we want to live, and the kind of people we want to be. Try to not beat yourself up when you fail to live up to your own expectations—we’re only human after all! It is much more productive to look ahead to the next chance you are given to be a better person.
That being said, it is just as important to be present, and also fully aware of how our decisions impact those around us. While we may get infinite next chances from God, oftentimes, people are not as forgiving, especially when respect and trust have been tossed aside.
It is always important show respect to people, even if you have parted ways or ended on bad terms. Respect never goes out of style, and, along with mutual trust, is the foundation for a good relationship. When partnerships dissolve due to the absence of trust, respect should still be held.
An avalanche of emotions rolled over me recently, but thanks to all my family and friends who checked on me and showed me so much love and care, I have jumped back on top of the mountain with more strength and courage.
The amazing outpour of concern for my emotional well-being was so heartfelt, and a testament to this healing journey of mine these past five years. After all the turmoil and therapy, I proudly stand tall, surrounded by an abundance of loved ones. I have true support systems who show genuine care and remind me that I am on solid ground, and always moving toward my new purpose.
Excited for what’s next
With everything going on emotionally, I have kept my focus on my work and building my new platform as a real estate influencer. I will be featuring listings of homes and condos in the city on my page. I am excited to be working with wedding videographer Ian Cruz to make cinematic house tour videos. This is my “next” adventure.
I will also include videos featuring Wilcon Depot shops and products. I recently attended the opening of Do It Wilcon in Binangonan, Rizal. Located in Manila East Road, Brgy. Bilibiran, this is its seventh branch in the Rizal area. Do It Wilcon is a middle-sized version of the larger branch, but it is still filled with the widest selection of building materials and home accessories. The store provides a one-stop shop destination for supplies needed for construction and other projects. The new layout makes shopping so convenient and easy.

Right after my long family vacation in Gold Coast, Australia, I hit up all the birthday celebrations in Manila as well as golf tournaments. Keeping my attention diverted from negative energy has allowed me to keep my good vibes intact, even when triggers pop up.
Reconnecting with my college classmate Louie Heredia and Girls Run For Breakfast birthday girl Raeanna Cranbourne brought back fond memories of my years in the States and my running days. When nostalgia hits, it is great to reflect on happy times, and to learn to let go of the sad ones. I will always cherish all the blessings and the happy life God has blessed me with. No need to live with regret, but instead build new memories.

Gentle celebrations
More birthday celebrations were held for A2A Safaris owner Tracie Dizon, hosted by Ricco Ocampo, and also for Miss Universe Philippines Board member Mags Cue, hosted by Pinky Tobiano. I am just delighted to attend so many milestones for friends who share my love for family, travel, and God.

One of the highlight events this week was the launch of the new collection of Genteelhome called “Her, Unfolding,” an exclusive limited-edition collection of artistic mirrors. Thoughtfully crafted as an ode to mothers, the collection celebrates the women who nurture individuality, encourage self-expression, and inspire a deeper sense of self.
“Genteelhome has always been rooted in creating spaces with intention and care,” said founder and principal designer Katrina De Leon. “With ‘Her, Unfolding,’ we wanted to create pieces that inspire reflection and honor the evolving identities we carry through life.”

Launched during The Prisms of Her, an intimate Mother’s Month celebration presented in partnership with Patty Ang, the collection introduces five floor mirrors, each distinguished by a unique frame finish and a patina ombré effect that highlights its handcrafted texture. Blending sculptural design with everyday function, the collection reflects Genteelhome’s signature approach to thoughtful living.
The event also featured Patty’s latest Linen collection, creating a dialogue between fashion and interiors through shared themes of texture, materiality, and understated elegance.
Alongside the mirror collection, Genteelhome introduced the Edit collection—a series of jewelry boxes, trays, and candle holders designed to bring the atelier’s craftsmanship into everyday living.
The “Her, Unfolding” collection is exclusively available at The Atelier Patty Ang at The Headquarters until June 22. Patty’s newly renovated shop in Rockwell showcases more pieces perfect for summer.

From last week’s clear perspective of my new life vision to suddenly being triggered with disrespect and an absence of decency, I choose to cherish this next step ahead to be the better person.
When you’re on a journey to self-improvement, show up as the person you want to be. If you want to be a better golfer, make time to go to the range and practice your swing. Or if you’re inspired to start training for a marathon, actually lace up and get outside, even for a “quick walk.” Sometimes telling yourself you’ll just walk around the block ends up in you running a 5K, then a 10K, then a half. You build mental endurance and self-trust, which helps in all other aspects of life. We always have the next chance to improve ourselves and be better than we were yesterday.
Of course, that all starts with having enough presence of mind, introspection, and the maturity to know what to change!
