Travel the Philippines according to your zodiac sign

A new year means a new opportunity to travel. It’s only February, which means there is more than enough time to plan your travels for 2026, especially if you’re planning a local trip. But with 82 provinces to choose from, selecting where to go can be pretty tricky.

If you happen to find yourself stuck on where to go next, why don’t you let your zodiac sign decide it for you?

Rat – Vigan

Resourceful, quick-witted, and intelligent, those born in the Year of the Rat will enjoy a destination that will both stimulate their mind and provide diverse experiences.

This makes Vigan an ideal destination to travel to this year, as it mixes both culture and history. From Spanish colonial architecture and heritage houses in Calle Crisologo to museum tours and crafts workshops, Rats will get to enjoy both sightseeing and learning opportunities.

Baguio

Ox – Baguio

Those born in the Year of the Ox are known for their diligent, gentle, and patient personalities. When it comes to traveling, destinations that are far from chaos and closer to nature best fit them.

Given their personality, Baguio would be an ideal travel destination due to its organized and calm environment, as well as the strong presence of nature. The scenic mountain views, relaxed pace, and the fact that the city is walkable will appeal to the practical nature of the Ox.

Cebu

Tiger – Cebu

Adventurous, energetic, and always looking for a challenge, Tigers won’t find a calm, relaxing place appealing. Instead, they’ll want a vibrant destination full of variety—and full of activities and sights.

For Tigers looking to travel locally in 2026, they should take a look at Cebu. From canyoneering in Badian and whale shark encounters in Oslob to fun beach activities in Mactan, Cebu has so much to offer any Tiger looking for fun, adventure, and thrills.

Batanes

Rabbit – Batanes

Rabbits are typically described as quiet, elegant, and gentle people who value beauty and comfort. Like the Ox, Rabbits gravitate toward safe, relaxed experiences that allow them to enjoy the aesthetics of their surroundings.

This year, Rabbits may want to head up north and explore Batanes. With its dramatic coastlines and rolling hills, Batanese offers picture-perfect views with minimal crowds and a peaceful atmosphere that will tickle the fancy of Rabbits.

Palawan

Dragon – Palawan

Energetic, adventurous, and bold, the Dragon are drawn to travel that will offer dynamic experiences and awe-inspiring places. They would want to travel to a place that allows them to both explore and enjoy dynamic experiences.

Palawan’s Coron and El Nido are perfect spots this year for Dragons, as they offer both scenic views and a whole lot of excitement. From El Nido’s famous island-hopping tours to Coron’s limestone cliffs and wreck diving sites, Dragons will find the right blend of both beauty and adventure there.

Sagada

Snake – Sagada

Snakes are often described as mysterious, artistic, and adaptable. They have an appreciation for aesthetics, but they also look for things that stimulate them intellectually.

A local destination that can appeal to them this year is Sagada. Quiet, culturally rich, and even mysterious at times, Sagada and its hanging coffins, caves, and hiking trails can appeal to Snakes who look for both a cultural and meaningful trip.

Boracay

Horse – Boracay

Sociable and energetic, those born in the Year of the Horse should look for destinations that allow them to be active and experience new adventures.

Adventure and a whole lot of socializing are just some of the things that Boracay offers. Not only can horses enjoy island hopping, snorkeling, and even hidden beaches, but Boracay also has a thriving food scene and nightlife that makes socializing a fun experience.
