2025 Zeekr 7X luxury SUV officially launched, starts at P2.599M

China has long established itself to be a world leader in battery-electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing.

And with the opening of Zeekr’s first-ever dealership at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig City, it’s set to shake up the Philippines’ luxury EV market that has traditionally been dominated by European marques. Coinciding with this was the debut of the latest model in its all-electric, premium lineup – the 7X midsize crossover.

The all-new five-seater sits above the X subcompact crossover and below the 001 shooting brake and flagship 009 multi-purpose vehicle. Two 7X variants are available, namely the RWD Long Range and the AWD Performance.

Sleek stance

The 7X has a distinctive face, thanks to its low hoodline and powerful LED headlights and daytime running lights.

The top-spec AWD Performance also comes with the Zeekr Stargate Integrated Smart Light Curtain, which is a 93-foot-long light strip composed of 1,831 high-powered, LED light beads that creates a truly sophisticated appearance.

All models have a unique silhouette because of the standard frameless automatic doors with pop-out electric door handles, as well as the frameless side mirrors and panoramic glass roof. Besides the eye-catching D-pillar, you get 19-inch alloy wheels as standard in the RWD Long Range and 20-inch alloy wheels in the AWD Performance.

Out back, the steeply raked rear windscreen leads the eye to the full-width LED light strip with running LED turn signals. Zeekr said the 7X’s unique shape has resulted in a low drag coefficient of 0.247, which means quieter and more efficient driving at higher speeds.

Punchy powertrain

And there is plenty of speed in the 7X, thanks to its full-stack, 800-volt battery system that was developed in-house – it allows for faster DC charging times, going from 10 to 80 percent in just under 11 minutes.

The RWD Long Range comes with a 100-kWh battery pack and a single electric motor powering the rear wheels for a combined output of 416 horsepower and 440 Newton-meters of torque. Zeekr claims a 0 to 100 km/h time of around 6 seconds, along with a maximum WLTP range of 615 kilometers on a single charge.

Meanwhile, the AWD Performance variant adds a second motor to the front axle for a total output of 637 horsepower and 770 Newton-meters of torque going through all four wheels. Living up to its name, this 7X does the 0 to 100 km/h dash in a blistering 3.8 seconds, while its maximum WLTP range is 543 kilometers.

Keeping all this punch in check is a high-performance Akebono braking system with four-piston front calipers, with the AWD Performance adding adaptive air suspension.

Complete comfort

Inside, the 7X features a capacious cabin thanks to its crossover shape – so much so that you can even fold the front passenger seat flat to make a bed.

Soft PU upholstery is standard in the RWD Long Range, while the AWD Performance gets buttery-soft Nappa leather (optional in the base model). Three colors are available, namely Black, Black and Gray, and Purple and White.

The crisp and clean dashboard is dominated by the 16-inch, 3.5K resolution touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a Qualcomm 8295 processor.

Other awesome features include the Zeekr Pro 21-speaker surround-sound system, the 13-inch digital gauge cluster, the 36-inch heads-up display, the ripple-effect ambient lighting and dual 50-watt wireless chargers. Meanwhile, the 14-way ventilated front seats come with memory and massage functions, with rear passengers getting up to 10 inches of electric recline.

The 7X also has a bevy of storage spaces, including drawers under the rear seats. With the second-row folded down, you have 1,978 liters of cargo space.

Pioneering safety kit

Naturally, a high-end luxury EV like the 7X comes with the ultimate in safety technology.

Its Intelligent Driving Assistance system uses 12 ultrasonic radars, 12 high-definition cameras and a millimeter-wave radar to handle everything from Auto Lane Change to Automatic Parking Assist. All variants get seven airbags as standard, as well as a reinforced battery-protection apparatus that can handle side pole impacts of up to 75 tons in force.

The latter is augmented by the Done-Shaped Armored Body Safety Structure and the 2000MPa one-piece roof pillars. The 7X also comes with the world’s first electromagnetic radiation protection system, as well as a one-click window breaking system that can shatter the side windows in the blink of an eye.

The all-new Zeekr 7X starts at P2,599,000 for the RWD Long Range and goes up to P2,999,000 for the AWD Performance. It is available at the Zeekr Philippines showroom located on 32nd Street in BGC.
