2026 Mitsubishi Xpander unveiled, starts at P1.099M

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) officially launched the refreshed 2026 Xpander and Xpander Cross on Friday at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
Besides being one of MMPC’s most popular models, these seven-seat, multi-purpose vehicles (MPV) were best-sellers in their class for two consecutive years, beating out the likes of the Honda BR-V, Hyundai Stargazer/Stargazer X and Toyota Avanza/Veloz.
“As one of the country’s most beloved family vehicles, the Xpander continues to combine style, space, and versatility – now with upgrades that make it an even more dependable member of the family,” MMPC said in a press statement.
Four variants of the Diamond Star MPVs remain, namely the Xpander GLX MT, Xpander GLX AT, Xpander GLS AT and the top-spec Xpander Cross.

Sportier styling
As reported earlier, the major changes for the 2026 models are primarily aesthetic, courtesy of redesigned headlights and LED foglights.
The Xpander GLX and GLS likewise get a new frownt bumper with a more prominent, squared-off lip and blacked-out front grill. Similar treatment is applied in the revamped rear bumper, while new two-tone, 9-spoke, 17-inch alloy wheels freshen up the MPV’s side profile.

Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line Xpander Cross has distinct two-tone, 17-inch alloy wheels, together with a more aggressive front grill (a la Mitsubishi Xforce) and prominent silver trim in the lower bumper. The rear bumper incorporates the reflectors in new silver pieces that denote a more off-road look.
There are nine colors available, including Jet Black Mica, Blade Silver Metallic, Graphite Gray Metallic, Quartz White Pearl, Green Bronze Metallic and Red Metallic. Three hues are available only in the Xpander Cross, all with the Black Roof option – Sunrise Orange Metallic, Quartz White Pearl and Green Bronze Metallic.

Revamped tech
Inside, the GLS and Xpander Cross get a new 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (7 inches in the GLX variants).
Both top variants also come standard with an 8-inch digital gauge cluster, along with a new 360-degree camera and Active Yaw Control that provides better stability while cornering. The Xpander Cross likewise gets new black-and-burgundy synthetic leather upholstery with Heat Guard technology that helps keep the hide cooler amid hot weather.

Power is still courtesy of Mitsubishi’s proven 1.5-liter, twin-cam, 16-valve inline-4 gasoline engine pumping out 104 horsepower and 141 Newton-meters of torque. This is still mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
Sedan pricing
As before, the 2026 Xpander lineup is priced to compete against both subcompact and compact sedans.
The range kicks off with the P1,099,000 Xpander GLX MT, followed by the Xpander GLX AT at P1,159,000. Finally, the Xpander GLS AT is priced at P1,259,000, while the Xpander Cross comes in at P1,378,000.

“Beyond its redefined looks and advanced tech, the new Xpander remains the country’s reliable and adaptable companion that Filipino families trust,” MMPC said. “Whether it’s bringing the kids to school, going on a weekend road trip, or attending special occasions, the Mitsubishi Xpander is there, ready to carry not just passengers, but family moments and milestones.”
