Another page in Bacoor’s history

Ronald Rey M. delos Reyes

It was just last year when SAIC Motor Philippines, the official distributor of MG vehicles in the country, eyed to further expand its network, particularly in Bacoor, Cavite.

As MG’s newest and third flagship dealership, MG Bacoor sits on a 2,000-square-meter facility, which will serve as a key hub for the marque’s continued growth and strengthened presence in the area.

Auto Transport Services and Vehicle Links, Inc. (ATSVL), the multi-brand automotive dealership group run by the husband-and-wife tandem of Tey and Thet Sornet, expressed their enthusiasm for the upcoming MG Bacoor dealership. With decades of experience in vehicle sales, service and customer care, the latter heads the company, while the other sits as its chair.

“As we turn the soil today, we do so with hope and excitement for what lies ahead — a new beginning that will carry forward MG’s legacy of excellence and ATSVL’s values of hard work, integrity, and impeccable service,” Thet said during the dealership’s groundbreaking in October 2025.

Official opening

Fast-forward a year later, this MG dealership, located at L-5547 Molino Road, Brgy. Molino III, Bacoor, Cavite, finally opened its doors.

To further boost MG’s growth in the Cavite area, the dealership features a spacious eight-vehicle showroom. It also has eight fully equipped service bays to ensure exceptional customer service and a hassle-free vehicle ownership experience.

This flagship facility was designed to be the benchmark for the MG brand nationwide. It features a full-line showroom capable of displaying up to several MG models — consisting of internal combustion, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and full electric vehicles, along with a state-of-the-art aftersales facility.

Moreover, the service center is fully equipped with advanced diagnostic tools and dedicated bays manned by certified technicians to service new energy vehicles.

MG Bacoor offers a premium and comprehensive customer experience, with a premium customer lounge, dedicated new vehicle delivery area, and upgraded customer amenities.

According to ATSVL head honcho, the brand’s consistent growth in the country is rooted in trust. MG was one of the first well-established brands to invest properly in the local market, with excellent parts availability, dependable aftersales service, and responsive customer support.

“That is why MG has consistently grown and has become one of the most trusted and accepted brands in the minds of Filipino motorists,” she said.

On Chinese brands and electrification

ATSVL chairman, Tey, meanwhile, underscored that the rise in Chinese car brands reflects the changing priorities of Filipino car buyers.

“Chinese cars are becoming a very serious and attractive option in the Philippine market, particularly for buyers who want modern features, electrified vehicles and most especially good value for money,” he said.

Furthermore, he sees a gradual but inevitable transition in electrification.

For him, it is one of the biggest changes coming to the Philippine automotive market.

“With government support through EVIDA, we are on the right direction — but the transition will be gradual and uneven. We expect hybrids and plug-in hybrids to play an important role before fully electric cars become practical for most Filipino households,” he then shared.

“With the growing number of solar power installations in urban households, this further fuels the growth of electrification.”

In fact, the country now has an estimated 1,300 megawatts (MW) of installed rooftop solar capacity, driven by a rapid surge in urban and residential adoption amid high electricity rates.

More than 22,000 households are actively generating and connecting solar power to the system.

Proven formula

For ATVSL, with their years of experience and life-long learnings, one success formula always holds true–their “customer-focused” approach.

“We envision MG Bacoor as a place where customers feel welcome from the moment they arrive, where choosing a vehicle becomes an enjoyable experience, and where every question, need, and concern is met with professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care,” Tey then stated.

“Our commitment does not end when a customer drives out of our showroom with a new vehicle — that is where it truly begins, he added.

For Tey, they recognize that earning a customer’s trust means being there throughout their entire ownership journey.

“This is why we place equal importance on dependable aftersales service, proper vehicle maintenance, and responsive customer support. We want every MG owner to have the confidence that MG Bacoor will be there for them — not just today, but for many years to come.”

Truly, potential car buyers and customers from Cavite, Las Piñas, Parañaque, and Southern Metro Manila are lucky to get the exceptional ownership journey they deserve from this king-and-queen tandem.
