Award-winning Continental GT now in a sharper S expression

Press Release

Following a fourth consecutive Best Car Award from the well-respected German publication Auto Motor und Sport, the Continental GT range continues to evolve—introducing a more sporting S expression with sharper responses and bolder design.

Bentley now expands the fourth-generation Continental line-up with the new Continental GT S and Continental GT Convertible S, inspired by the driver-focused spirit of the limited-edition Supersports. Blending bold styling with the latest High Performance Hybrid powertrain and chassis technology previously reserved for the Continental GT Speed, both models are offered in coupé or open-top convertible form for drivers who prioritize dynamic capability and confident road presence.

Both variants use Bentley’s High Performance Hybrid powertrain, producing 680 PS and 930 Nm—an increase of 130 PS and 160 Nm over the previous generation GT S. With full system output deployed, the Continental GT S accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and reaches 306 km/h. A standard sports exhaust brings out the aural charisma of the 4.0-litre crossplane V8, while the hybrid system also surpasses the previous W12 Speed powertrain on power, torque and performance measures. The powertrain can also deliver up to 50 miles (80 km) of pure electric driving.

Chassis capability is a defining element of the new S specification. Bentley Performance Active Chassis adds Active All-Wheel Drive, twin-valve dampers, torque vectoring and Bentley Dynamic Ride (the 48-volt active anti-roll system), guided by new ESC software. For the first time on a Continental GT S, the package also includes an electronic limited-slip differential and all-wheel steering, delivering more agile turn-in, enhanced stability and greater driver confidence across a broad range of roads.

The Continental GT Convertible S brings the same 680 PS open-top punch, sports exhaust character, and a sharper S look.

The dynamic range is shaped by selectable drive modes. With ESC fully engaged, the car is calibrated to deliver secure traction and inhibit oversteer. In Dynamic mode, a measured degree of rear-axle slip is permitted to help the driver influence cornering attitude while maintaining reassuring electronic support. For experienced drivers in suitable conditions, ESC can be disabled entirely for a more adjustable, throttle-balanced stance.

The exterior makes the performance intent unmistakable. Blackline Specification elements—including gloss black matrix grilles, black Bentley wings and BENTLEY lettering—combine with a dark lower front spoiler for a lean, purposeful stance. Beluga mirror caps, sill extensions and a rear diffuser deepen the visual theme, while Precision Design LED matrix headlamps and dark-tinted rear lamps add a technical edge. The sports exhaust is identified by dark-finish tailpipe trim. Standard 22-inch ten-spoke wheels are finished in silver, with optional gloss black and gloss black with bright machined faces.

Inside, a unique two-colour upholstery split and fluted seat design give the S models a distinctive cabin identity. Dinamica technical fabric is applied to key touch points including the steering wheel, gear lever, seats and door inserts, while Piano Black veneer is standard to echo the darker exterior theme. Alternative finishes, including high-gloss carbon fiber, plus full leather upholstery and dark-tint chrome interior brightwork are available as options.

From wellness-oriented Azure to ultimate GT Speed performance, Bentley grand touring has many expressions. The new Continental GT S and GT Convertible S establish a clear niche: dramatic presence, sharper responses and a stronger emphasis on the sheer enjoyment of driving.
