BIG LITTLE DEALS

Two new MINIs have landed, and continue the tradition of individuality and quirkiness with a twist.

The new MINI Aceman is something special. An all-electric crossover. For those that think the Countryman was a breakthrough model for the MINI marque, this new Aceman may appeal as well. It fits in between the Countryman and the MINI Cooper in size, but has a bit more room inside than the standard MINI. It has the playfulness of design and execution that you are used to, but also comes with five comfortable seats they tell us. It uses a fully electric powerplant with an output of 160 kW for 330 Nm of torque and a range of 407 kilometers, though you probably shouldn’t expect to max out both at the same time.

You have the different modes available as you would expect, including Go-Kart and Green, and the interior ground-inducing details that make spending time in the MINI cars a bit different from other vehicles. The car would be spot-on for urban daily drive work but with the ability and the space to head out of town once in a while.

The new all-electric MINI Cooper 3-Door, new all-electric MINI Countryman, and sporty MINI John Cooper Works 3-Door are available for viewing until February 27, 2025 at the MINI pop-up at Alabang Town Center. Starting February 28, the first-ever all-electric MINI Aceman will be added to the display, bringing a new level of excitement to MINI’s all-electric lineup.

Launched at the same time was the MINI Cooper 5-Door, the more traditional package of fun, but with five doors for a bit more accessibility rather than the usual three. It is slightly longer than the 3-door and has a longer wheelbase. Again though the familiar insouciance will be there, still a vehicle that takes its own road and invites you to join.

“Three’s a crowd, but five is definitely a party!” said Willy Tee Ten, President of the Autohub Group of Companies. “Now offering the practicality of five doors, it’s perfect for active lifestyles and even young families, all while maintaining its signature look. With the unmistakable fun-to-drive spirit that MINI is known for, we’re thrilled to embark on new adventures together with our passionate community.”

The two new models, along with the World Car Award Finalists For World Urban Car (two out of five finalists are MINIs) MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper Electric, bring yet more individuality to the already rather individual brand and buyer.
