Dongfeng unveils advanced fiery full electric SUV

The all-new Vigo EV is Dongfeng Motors Philippines newest smart, accessible electric SUV unveiled recently at the East Wing Atrium, Greenhills Mall in San Juan City.
At the onset, it feels magical and looks stunning, instantly turning heads of unsuspecting onlookers. Yet, as one looks at it closely, the vehicle may be innovative and novel yet practical in a minimalist and affordable package.

Thus, the vehicle reflects Dongfeng’s commitment to making electric mobility more affordable while enhancing convenience, efficiency and driving enjoyment for modern users.
This subcompact crossover is avante-garde and futuristic, with swooping lines and curves, which, if one explores his imagination, can be mistaken as a mini starship that has teleported from a utopian galaxy far away.
Designed for versatility, it features a two-section tailgate that improves loading access for luggage and other large equipment.
Inside, the cabin gives a captivating minimalist allure, sporting Zero Pressure Breathable Seats with heating and cooling functions, providing utmost comfort in any weather, cool or otherwise.
The Vigo EV can even achieve an impressive 471-kilometer driving range. This makes it practical for daily city driving, while at the same time can give you more confidence as you decide to take on the rigors of out-of-town trips and whatnot.
Moreover, what makes this vehicle special is that it sports a CCS2 (Combined Charging System Type 2) inlet for fast DC charging and a Type 2 connection for AC charging. With the advanced 3C fast-charging technology, it can provide up to 154 kW.
What’s more is that sufficient charging can be done in just under 20 minutes, while a five-minute rapid charge can add up to 114 kilometers of range, ideal for quick top-ups during long-distance travel or one’s daily drives.
Under its hood is Dongfeng’s Mach E permanent magnet synchronous motor, with a battery capacity of 51.87 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) with direct cooling. This can deliver 163 horsepower and 230 N-m of instant torque. From standstill, it can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds, while topping at 150km/h.
The Vigo also introduces Nap and Camp modes, engineered for extended convenience and versatility while parked. This is perfect for young professionals on weekdays yet weekend warriors as work ends.
Ideal for any scenario, the vehicle is an on-the-go mobile rest space-cum-campsite as its battery can regulate cabin temperature and power onboard electronics.
Safety-wise, the vehicle is equipped with an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), offering intelligent support features designed to enhance awareness and help improve overall driving safety.
Furthermore, added creature comforts include advanced voice recognition control system, along with a Music External Play Mode for amazing outdoor entertainment.
Meantime, for AC Charging, it takes 0 to 100 percent in seven hours, using a 6.6 kW charger, while likewise featuring vehicle-to-load (V2L) built-in capability to power external appliances and gadgets.
What’s even great is that the carmaker is providing a 10-year battery warranty and a five-year bumper-to-bumper vehicle warranty, reinforcing long-term reliability and customer peace of mind.
