Avatar

Exactly sixty years ago this week, Ford unveiled the original Mustang at the World’s Fair in New York. It has sold more than 10 million units since and has been the world’s best-selling sports car for more than a decade now.

To celebrate 60 years since the birth of an automotive legend, Ford Philippines brought together members of the Mustang Club Philippines, the Mustang Enthusiasts Philippines, and Mustang owners and fans for an anniversary meet-up at the historic Palacio de Memoria in Parañaque and surprised them with an exclusive first look at the All-New Mustang slated to be launched in the country in May 2024.

Owners drove to the venue with their prized muscle cars to form a spectacular display of Mustangs showcasing the sports coupe’s storied evolution through the years. Of the classic models in attendance, the oldest were a 1965 Fastback which captivated onlookers with its sleek silhouette and a 1965 Shelby with its unmistakable engine roar emblematic of the pony power that the Ford Mustang is known for.

As a bonus for event attendees, an exclusive peek at the 7th generation All-New Mustang brought the majestic machine’s 60-year legacy full circle as guests got to see the latest addition to the iconic lineup up close in all its stylish glory. Jim Owens, GTD Mustang Brand Manager, also joined the festivities virtually to share his stories and experiences about the development of Mustang through the years.
