Ford PH unveils 2025 Mustang Mach-E performance EV

Ford Philippines seems dead-set in grabbing a slice of the local electrified-vehicle market this year.
Alongside the worldwide launch of the all-new 2025 Ford Territory Hybrid, the American automaker also debuted the all-new 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E high-performance electric vehicle (EV) on Friday at the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) Amphitheater in Taguig City.
“The Mustang Mach-E is one of the most exciting vehicles Ford has ever introduced,” said Ford Philippines managing director Pedro Simoes in a press statement.
“This purpose-built, all-electric vehicle is unique, unmistakably a Mustang, and with a leading-edge driving range coming at exactly the right time for the growing Mustang enthusiast community in the country,” he added.
Only one variant is available as of press time – the Premium AWD Extended Range, which means dual electric motors and an 88-kWh battery pack for a combined output of 389 horsepower and 676 Newton-meters of torque through all four wheels. Ford Philippines claims a maximum WLTP range of 550 kilometers on a single full charge.
Sports-car styling
Despite its taller crossover body, the Mustang Mach-E carries the signature styling of its muscle-car cousin.
These include the tri-bar LED taillights and fastback rear styling, which are accentuated by the steeply raked rear windscreen and huge fender flares. Electric door openers mean clean flanks that include a prominent hip line and 19-inch, two-tone alloy wheels wrapped in 225/55 series tires.
The tall hoodline leads the eye to the wide LED headlights that flank a frameless grill with active shutters. And up front and center is the large Mustang horse logo, which is also prominently featured in the rear decklid.
Loaded cabin
Inside, the Mustang Mach-E features a racy cockpit for four passengers, who will enjoy the perforated ActiveX synthetic leather upholstery with red contrast stitching.
Both front seats get 10-way power adjustment (with driver’s side memory), along with dual-zone climate control with rear air vents. The sporty dashboard likewise features a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster and Ford’s portrait touchscreen infotainment system, measuring a whopping 15.5 inches in this electric stallion, with SYNC 4A software.
The Mustang Mach-E comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a 10-speaker Bang and Olufsen surround-sound system. Other interior goodies include the fixed panoramic glass roof, wireless charging pad and 360-degree camera.
The electric tailgate opens to reveal 402 liters of cargo space, which expands to 1,420 liters with the 60:40 split-folding rear seats down. In addition, you get an 80-liter “frunk” under the hood in lieu of a rip-roaring V8 gasoline engine.
Built to thrill
Helping rein in this electrified pony’s punch is a Brembo high-performance braking system, along with MacPherson front suspension and multilink independent rear suspension.
The Mustang Mach-E also comes with three driving modes, namely Whisper, Engage and Unbridle. Each setting adjusts the steering weight and throttle response depending on whether you want a gentle trot or a wheeled rodeo.
And should you go overboard, the Mustang Mach-E has front, center, side and curtain airbags, along with the Ford Co-Pilot360 adaptive driver assistance system – the latter has life-saving features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation System, Lane Keeping System, Blind Spot Information System, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Reverse Brake Assist.
This EV also gets a 1-Pedal Drive system that allows the driver to accelerate and decelerate using only the accelerator pedal. Ford Philippines said lifting off the pedal activates regenerative braking, which slows the vehicle and recovers energy for the battery.
Speaking of charging, all Mustang Mach-E units come with a free 3.5-kW Type 2 portable charger and a free 7-kW wall box charger. And with up to 150 kW of DC charging capacity, the carmaker said the EV can charge from zero to 80 percent in as little as 36 minutes.
Owners can also monitor their charging status through the FordPass smartphone app, which can be used to manage Remote Start/Stop/Climate, EV Charging Status, Battery States of Charge, Charge Session Details, Start/Stop Charging, Target Charge, Departure Times, Preferred Charge Times, Charge History and AC Charge Rate.
