Ford Philippines grows by 42 % in nine months
Ford Philippines sustained its strong retail performance for the first nine months of the year, with the Next-Generation Ford Ranger, Territory and Everest driving overall sales.
Retail sales rose 42 percent from a year ago to 23,091 vehicles sold. September also saw Ford Philippines record its highest monthly retail performance since May 2020 with 3,391 vehicles sold.
The Ford Ranger remained Ford’s top-selling vehicle in the country, with sales growing by 22 percent from a year ago to 9,113 vehicles sold. The Ranger also re-claimed its leadership in the 4×4 pick-up segment with 4,396 units sold over the last nine months of the year, cornering a 38-percent market share.
Also, the Ford Territory maintained its leadership in the small SUV segment with a market share of 46 percent, continuing to thrive in one of the industry’s most competitive vehicle segments. Sales grew by 8 percent to 6,955 units sold on the back of the growing demand for Ford’s popular 5-seater SUV which achieved its 5,000th sales milestone for the Next-Generation model that launched in April this year.
The Ford Everest likewise made its mark in the midsize SUV segment as it became the second best-selling model in the segment with 6,693 vehicles sold, a staggering 255-percent increase from the previous year. In September, the Everest sold 1,254 units, emerging as the top-selling midsize SUV in the country during the month.
