The Next Generation is coming – Starship Prototype
At the recent 2024 Beijng Auto Show, Geely’s Starship Protoype was brought to the fore.
The newly-revealed prototype further interprets the “Expanding Cosmos of Ripples” of the Yinhe family’s design language. This continuous evolution demonstrates Geely’s core innovative technologies in the fields of electrification, digitalization, and AI intelligence.
As Geely’s technology flagship SUV, the new concept car is Geely’s latest cutting-edge “AI smart space”. The “first civilian Galaxy Space Station” design concept is the cornerstone of intelligent experience. It breaks the boundaries of traditional mobility experiences to create AI smart cars for the electric age.0
The Galaxy Starship is equipped with the new GEA (Geely Electric Architecture) platform, derived from Geely’s SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform. GEA is used for pure electric, range extended and plug-in powertrains.0
The Starship concept is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) using Geely’s next generation Thor (NordThor) system. This uses an engine with the world’s highest thermal efficiency of 46 percent and claims to achieve a range of over 2,000km with a fuel consumption of about 33kpl.0
During our recent trip in China, we were also able to test drive vehicles such as Monjaro, e8, L7 and Starray.
