Geely EX5 offers smarter in-car experiences in first global update
Geely Auto’s next-generation all-electric SUV, the Geely EX5, is set to receive its first global update in 2026.
Rolled out across international markets, the update focuses on enhancing everyday user experience, with improvements spanning intelligent connectivity, ease of use, system responsiveness, and safety-related optimization. As a key model in Geely Auto’s global strategy, the Geely EX5 continues to elevate intelligent mobility for users worldwide through software evolution that puts real-world usability first.
This update delivers three key enhancements designed to elevate everyday usability across both the intelligent cockpit and the overall driving experience which are the Android Auto in-car connectivity with added support for Android systems to enable broader in-vehicle integration, the Customizable AVAS low-speed alert sounds with three selectable audio profiles to suit different user preferences and the New Drive Setup one-touch activation that allows drivers to quickly adjust multiple Intelligent driving functions.
Built on Geely’s world-class GEA platform, the Geely EX5 marks a significant step forward in vehicle electronics with the introduction of the GEEA 3.0 electronic and electrical architecture. By shifting to a centralized computing framework with coordinated regional control, the new architecture enhances system responsiveness and stability. This foundation allows the intelligent cockpit and in-vehicle ecosystem to evolve seamlessly over time, ensuring the vehicle remains up to date throughout its lifecycle.
These technological advancements directly support Geely’s user-centric development philosophy. Already launched in more than 40 countries and regions – including Australia, the UK, Italy, and Brazil – the Geely EX5 has achieved leading sales positions in the pure electric segment across markets such as the UAE, Brazil, and Mexico. For instance, Geely EX5 has topped the Brazilian pure electric C-class SUV sales chart for four consecutive months.
Geely EX5, also known as Geely E5 in some countries and regions, has received the Best Interior Design award from the “Turin Automotive Design Award” and is the first model in Geely brands’ history to receive five-star safety ratings from both Euro NCAP in Europe and ANCAP in Australia.
