Honda celebrates 10-millionth motorcycle unit production milestone
After Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) sold over 1.04 million retail and wholesale units in 2025 to break past the one-million annual sales mark and reached 12 million cumulative motorcycle sales in April 2026, the local leading motorcycle manufacturer seems to keep on rolling.
Recently, the company just celebrated the production of its 10-millionth motorcycle unit in a ceremony held at its manufacturing facility in Tanauan, Batangas.
With the theme: “Commemoration of 10 Million Production, Igniting the Passion to Lead the Future Beyond the Limits”, the achievement not only marks a significant milestone in HPI’s manufacturing history.
The feat also underscores the company’s continued efforts to provide high quality, reliable and environment-friendly motorcycles for Filipino motorists.
The momentous ceremony was attended by Honda executives from local and regional headquarters, as well as from Japan. Dealers, suppliers, partners, and associates throughout the years, as well as key representatives from their various plant departments likewise were there.
Notably, Honda Motor Co. Ltd. executive managing officer Minoru Kato and Asian Honda Motor Co. Ltd. vice president of MC Business Koji Sugita personally graced the affair.
“This milestone of 10 million units was not achieved by Honda Philippines alone,” HPI president, Takeshi Kobayashi, said during his speech, fervently expressing the company’s gratitude.
“It was made possible by our customers who have trusted Honda, our dealers who deliver our products and services to customers every day, our suppliers and partners who support our business and production, and generations of associates who have put their pride and passion into every motorcycle we make,” he added.
“We will contribute to creating jobs, developing people, and supporting the growth of the industry, while growing together with the Philippines.”

10-millionth unit
What better way to roll out the 10-millionth unit than the country’s bestselling scooter, the Honda Click125.
With its uncanny design and remarkable fuel efficiency, the model perfectly hits the sweet spot between utility and value for daily commuters, delivery riders, and motorcycle taxi operators.
It even became the primary driver when HPI’s cumulative sales increased from 10 million in 2024 to 12 million in less than two years.
The particular model rolled out, the Click125 Smart Edition Pearl Arctic White has established itself as a trusted choice among Filipino riders for their day-to-day journeys.
The Click125’s massive domestic popularity has even prompted Honda to begin exporting the Philippine-made Click 125 to Cambodia and Laos
The symbolic unit represents the manufacturing capability and collective effort of the people behind Honda’s range of motorcycle products: the dealers, suppliers, stakeholders and HPI associates.
Likewise, Filipino customers have played an important role in reaching this milestone. Their continued trust in Honda has made the brand part of their countless journeys, making it essential in their everyday lives.
“Today, customer needs and expectations are changing rapidly. People are looking for greater value that fits their daily lives, including safety, convenience, and care for the environment. I hope today’s milestone of 10 million units will become the starting point for the next stage of growth for Honda Philippines,”meanwhile said Kato, expressing his confidence in HPI’s growing role as one of the key production bases within Honda’s global motorcycle network.
