Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) unveiled the new Civic RS e:HEV variant at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), with its theme “Sporty DNA: Redefined.” The new Civic was first previewed at the “Transform the Future – One Honda Electrification” event in September 2024, where HCPI and Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) reaffirmed their commitment to an electrified future. The PIMS exhibit also showcased limited editions of the CR-V V Turbo and the Civic Type R, along with two motorcycles: the all-new EM1 e: and the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP.

At the PIMS, HCPI displayed the all-new EM1 e:, Honda’s first battery electric scooter, emphasizing the brand’s dedication to environmentally friendly mobility solutions. The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, a powerful super sports bike with roots in MotoGP racing, was also part of the showcase.

In line with its Sporty DNA: Redefined theme, the limited-edition CR-V V Turbo combines practicality and style, featuring sporty accessories such as an exhaust pipe finisher and a front aero bumper. Utility accessories, including a body cover and cargo tray, enhance its functionality.

Another standout feature of the exhibit is the Mugen Civic Type R Group A, the most exclusive Civic Type R available in the Philippines. Only five units of this globally premiered vehicle will be offered locally, with the Mugem team present during the reveal last Thursday.

The new Civic officially joins Honda’s hybrid lineup with the introduction of the RS e:HEV variant as it marks a significant step for HCPI as it expands its offerings of electrified models in the country. This model comes with a sportier design, enhanced driving dynamics, and advanced features, including a wider camera for Honda SENSING and refreshed Honda CONNECT technology.

New features across all variants include parking sensors, Type C USB ports, and a 9” audio display. Notably, this model is the first from HCPI equipped with Google Built-in, enabling users to interact with their vehicle via voice commands, contributing to Honda’s global safety goal of achieving a collision-free society. The new Civic will be available in several color options, including the exclusive Canyon River Blue Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl.
