Hycan bet Isadora Machado crowned Miss MIAS 2024
Miss Hycan Isadora Machado earned the nod of a panel of judges to be crowned Miss MIAS 2024 presented by X-1R of the highly-successful 19th edition of the country’s biggest automotive show.
The Brazilian model delivered a big victory for the Electric Vehicle (EV) brand making its local debut as she edged out Miss Seres Cristel Galang in the final stage of the selection process. Galang had become a strong candidate for the top plum after she emerged the overwhelming choice in the on-line and on-site voting of the contest jointly conducted by Inquirer Mobility, Worldbex and X-1R through its local distributor Creative Sparx, Inc.
Miss Foton Yvonne Aresu, who completed the cast of top three finalists, settled for 2nd runner-up.
“It’s (award) a gift that I’m very happy to have received. It’s my first time (to model for a brand) and I want to say thank you to those who voted for me. I wasn’t really expecting to win, “ said Machado, who received the winner’s prize of P20,000 and the title that she will be carrying around until next year’s edition.
Brixton Aw, president of Creative Sparx, Inc., and Harold Ledda, of X-1R Global, were joined by MIAS organizers Jill Ang, Alvin Uy and Jason Ang and Jong Arcano, editor of Inquirer Motoring and head of the Inquirer Mobility website and Mobility PH socmed site, in awarding ceremony at the SMX Convention Center where the brands represented by all three winners were displayed.
