The much-anticipated 9th Philippine International Motor Show is just around the corner.

With a theme: “Dare. Drive. The Future Redefine.,” the show is deemed to showcase the latest in automotive innovation and technology, as well as the powerhouse lineup of vehicles coming from various car brands, highlighting today’s ever-evolving landscape that centers on sustainability and mobility solutions for a better future.

One of which is Isuzu Philippines Corporation’s display.

With its commitment to the goal of carbon neutrality, as well as other groundbreaking technologies, IPC, with its own theme of “Innovations for You,” is featuring a vehicle lineup display that would highlight its forward-thinking approach to solving the needs of its customers–whether they be for personal or for business.

“This year, every vehicle we present reflects our dedication to combining top-tier performance with modern solutions, designed to meet both personal and commercial needs,” said IPC president, Tetsuya Fujita.

“This lineup demonstrates our unwavering commitment to delivering the best driving experiences while empowering businesses nationwide to succeed and move closer to achieving carbon neutrality,” he added.

Exciting new offerings to roll out

First in its roster that would excite the market is IPC’s new Isuzu D-Max 4×4. It will be launched in two variants: First is the standard model equipped with new differential lock system and second, the Rough Terrain Mode.

Both versions come with advanced safety features such as the 5-Star Safety Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), a 360-degree around view monitor (AVM), a digital video recorder (DVR), wireless charging and connectivity.

To further demonstrate the ruggedness and versatility of this tough and reliable workhorse, IPC will showcase a customized D-Max 4×4 fitted with a TJM steel bumper, modular side step, and rear bumper. This rig is suited for 4×4 and overlanding adventures, equipped with a Manley Canopy Camper, featuring a 200Ah lithium battery, an 85-liter water tank, portable air conditioning, a 270-degree awning, and a portable shower. Completing its rugged look are its 17-inch Method Wheels and Nitto Grappler off-road tires.

Next to spice things up at its booth display is Isuzu’s new mu-X Executive Edition–which taps another facade of the carmaker’s dynamic profile. Far from the rough and tough character of the D-Max, this mu-X Executive Edition, this time, aspires to redefine premium, comfort and style. Strutting a new kind of swag, this vehicle sports a sophisticated red and black leather interior with elegant red stitching. The second-row seats are upgraded to custom VIP seats, featuring power recline, leg rests, massage functions, USB/Type-C charging ports, and ambient lighting, offering a truly first-class experience.

Exterior-wise, IPC fits it with 20-inch Black Rhino wheels with Nitto S City Tires further enhancing its sleek profile.

Upping the ante for business and logistics

Aside from the D-Max and mu-X models, IPC will also unravel the newest Isuzu Traviz Concept Cargo Van. With a modern, secure cargo area capable of carrying up to 1,660 kilograms of gross payload, this Traviz concept model offers enhanced efficiency for business operations.

Moreover, the new Isuzu EW5 Tractor Head will also be paraded. This will be the centerpiece of IPC’s outdoor truck display at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

For starters, this truck is powered by a robust GH11E EURO V engine that delivers 414hp of maximum power and 1,990 N-m of torque. This is paired with a 12-speed automated manual transmission (AMT). With this, the tractor head is designed to be a force to be reckoned with in the hauling industry, further cementing this truck maker’s leadership in the commercial truck segment.

Charging toward carbon neutrality

Being the undisputed leader in the commercial truck industry for more than 20 years, IPC is again taking the helm, this time, toward electrification. One of the most-anticipated highlights of IPC’s booth will be the introduction of the new Isuzu N-Series EV Concept Truck, a light-duty electric truck equipped with a powerful HP11 full electric motor.

Generating 90kW of maximum power and 370N-m of maximum torque, this truck is ideal for urban and suburban cargo deliveries. With a 40kWh battery that offers a range of approximately 115 kilometers, it is both efficient and environmentally friendly. The truck also supports both Type 1 normal charging and CHAdeMO rapid charging options.

“What sets the N-Series EV apart is our holistic approach to supporting our customers’ carbon-neutral goals,” shared Fujita.

According to him, through their EVISION Plan, they offer a Total Solution Program—assessing customer operational needs, providing optimal charging schedules, recommending the best chargers, and offering fleet management support.

“Our goal is to ensure a seamless transition to electric vehicles without sacrificing performance or efficiency,” he continued.

With this powerhouse lineup display, IPC further demonstrates its dedication and commitment to serve its customers by boosting business operations and performance, as well as their personal needs. Hence, with these wide array of newest offerings in the local market, they are further solidifying that they are-indeed-one “reliable partner” not just on the road, but in life.
