JETOUR in 2025 was on a roll and the carmaker just relentlessly kept on coming

Ronald Rey M. delos Reyes

Jetour Auto Philippines in 2025 is marked by significant growth, especially focusing on its hybrid vehicles, expanding its dealership network, as well as strategic market presence.

Early this year, it was announced that Jetour in the country has already grown by 67 percent year-on-year in just its second year of operations, recording sales of 1,702 vehicles in 2024. In its first year in the country in 2023, the carmaker already sold 1,018 units, hinting of being itself an emerging formidable player in the local market.

For 2025, the company’s managing director, Miguelito Jose, worked on expanding the brand’s presence with new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models like the T1 and X70 Lightning i-DM, forging new partnerships, increasing dealerships, and boosting sales, eyeing for significant growth in the Philippine automotive market through innovation and customer engagement.

For him, the previous year was all about stepping up their digital and traditional marketing efforts, cross-industry partnerships, sales programs, aftersales services, and dealer support systems.

For this year, it’s another step up.

“Jetour vehicles are engineered to world-class standards, and we are committed to ensuring that every vehicle enhances the Filipino mobility and lifestyle experience,” he stated earlier this year.

The following milestones briefly show how 2025 was another “step up” for Jetour in the country.

1,500,000-unit sales milestone announcement

Also, early in 2025, it was announced that Jetour has already sold 1,500,000 units worldwide in 2024. This figure is the Chinese carmaker’s cumulative sales since its inception in 2018.

According to them, 2024 was a banner year for Jetour Auto as it achieved a milestone of 550,000 annual global sales, a remarkable 83.9-percent year-on-year increase.

Jetour is known as China’s top-selling large SUV brand, led by its flagship T2 model.

This big announcement at the start of 2025, not just brought momentum, but sparked the fire for the carmaker that kept on burning throughout the year.

Quezon Avenue dealership opening

As a new addition to its growing network, Jetour opened its Quezon Avenue dealership back in March.

The five-storey dealership spans a total floor area of 4,000sqm, and features a spacious showroom that can accommodate 10-12 vehicle displays

It also features a service center equipped with seven regular service bays and three dedicated electric vehicle (EV) work bays, “ensuring seamless maintenance and repair services for both traditional and electric-powered vehicles”.

CW Home Depot Taytay inauguration

Jetour continues its aggressive expansion in the country with the grand opening of its latest branch at CW Home Depot Taytay, again in the first quarter of 2025.

The new Jetour showroom at CW Home Depot Taytay aims to bring the brand’s extensive lineup closer to car buyers in the Rizal province and neighboring areas.

The opening of the Taytay showroom marks another step forward in the brand’s expansion plans, further solidifying its presence in over 20 key locations nationwide.

Lightning drive, twin big show and renewed Kramer partnership

The first and second quarters for Jetour were made all the more memorable by the Jetour X70 Lightning I-DM drive and the Manila International Auto Show in April.

In late March, organizers held a media drive from Manila all the way to ACEA Beach Resort in Subic Zambales and back.

Media participants were able to get first dibs of the Jetour X70 Lightning I-DM. The same vehicle was on display together, this time, the Jetour T2 Lightning i-DM.

Both were displayed at the Manila International Auto Show, the country’s biggest car annual show, with more than 150,000 average visitors.

Here, television news personality Anthony “Ka Tunying” Taberna graced the event and was presented as the first-ever owner of the Jetour T2 Lightning i-DM Panda Edition.

During the four-day car show, Jetour also announced its renewed partnership with Team Kramer, a family consisting of celebrities Chesca and Doug Kramer and their wonderful children.

Opening of another dealership at the heart of the greens

By sometime in the middle of the year, Jetour Auto Santa Rosa was formally opened at the heart of the Greenfield Auto Park along Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road in Santa Rosa City, Laguna.

The new facility managed by Prima Sierra Autohaus Corporation spans 475 square meters. It features a showroom that can display up to six vehicles and service bays to accommodate aftersales needs.

Another PHEV-powered Jetour SUV is born

After the grand launch of the all-new Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM held in Okada Manila in Pasay City, the vehicle eventually found its way unto the hands of our local motoring journalists eager to take it out for a spin and take first dibs. With about 10 vehicle units, the media test drive activity allowed the participants to personally experience the vehicle.

The carmaker is further pushing for its plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), launching the T1 and X70 Lightning i-DM models.

These then boosts its current lineup of the Ice Cream EV, X50, X70, X70 Plus, Dashing and the T2.

Capping the year with a long drive

To further nourish and enhance its relationship with its beloved customers, the carmaker held the recent Jetour T2 Sand Dunes Experience, an exclusive three-day off-road and cultural adventure in Ilocos Norte.

Participants were able to test the SUV’s performance, stability, and off-road capability while exploring iconic local sites such as Kapurpurawan Rock Formation, Paoay Church, and Vigan City.

The affair demonstrates the brand’s commitment to engaging with its owners and showcasing the capability, versatility, and reliability of the SUV in real-world conditions.

With all these, Jetour is again looking poised to make 2026 another potential “banner” year.
