Max Orido in PH on June 17 at The Auto Complex
Legendary Japanese racing driver Manabu “Max” Orido is coming to the Philippines!
Known worldwide as a professional circuit racing and drifting champion (and his appearances in Hot Version videos), Orido is the titular star of the Max Orido Safety and Motorsport Festival that will be held on June 17, 2026 at The Auto Complex in Quezon City at 4 p.m. onwards.
Orido will also join the formal opening of Garage 559 at the venue, which will distribute official Max Orido merchandise in the Philippines. The organizers said attendees can get event-exclusive deals on products from Max Orido, AKEa and participating sponsor brands, along with the chance to bring home exciting raffle prizes and giveaways.
Other highlights include a car and road-safety talk on responsible driving, with the Land Transportation Office and other government agencies likewise opening a dedicated Motorist Assistance Desk. There’s also a sim-racing challenge that will be open to novices and enthusiasts who can vie for special prizes.
The organizers said there will also be a curated car display, while the entirety of Mercury Avenue will be open for over 100 vehicles on a first-come, first-served basis. As with any other respectable car gathering, any form of “hooning” (burnouts, revving competitions, reckless driving) and loud or disruptive behavior is strictly prohibited.
