Maxxis, CST launch 7 new tires in PH

AP Blue Whale Corporation, the exclusive importer and distributor of Maxxis and CST in the Philippines, rolled out seven new tires on recently at Conrad Manila in Pasay City.
Maxxis and CST are sister companies based in Taiwan, with manufacturing plants in China, India, Indonesia and Vietnam. The new patterns cater to fast-growing vehicle segments in the Philippines, namely sport-utility vehicles, scooters (often used for Transportation Network Vehicle Services like Angkas and MoveIt) and electric vehicles (EV).
AP Blue Whale Corporation chief operations officer Ronald Ang said its new lineup provides outstanding value for money for Filipino motorists, including car enthusiasts, practical family drivers, first-time car buyers, used-car buyers and budget-conscious vehicle owners.

4 from Maxxis
First from the more premium Maxxis brand is the RAZR HT780, which is the company’s flagship highway-terrain tire that is designed for 80 percent on-road driving and 20 percent light off-road driving.
The RAZR HT780 includes an optimized tread pitch and sipe design that reduces road noise by 5 percent compared to previous patterns, along with advanced silica and footprint simulation to deliver 13-percent-longer tire life and improved wet and dry traction.
Meanwhile, the RAZR AT781 is designed for 70-percent on-road and 30-percent off-road driving, thanks to a reinforced all-terrain compound that delivers 23-percent-longer mileage and greater off-road durability. Its advanced groove design also cuts wet braking distance by up to 5 meters, while the optimized tread pitch reduces noise by 10 percent.

For EV owners, you can now buy a more reasonably priced tire with the Victra Sport EV, which uses an energy-saving compound that reduces rolling resistance to help you maximize your battery range. It is also specially designed to handle the stronger low-end performance found only on EVs.
Finally, the Maxxis Victra S98 CT is designed for small scooters that are frequently driven in the city. Its high-grip compound and optimized tread pattern ensure excellent handling in wet or dry roads, while its reinforced casing offers extended tire life to everyday riders, particularly those who use their two-wheelers for work.
“These tires represent a significant advancement in our tire technology and our response to the continuously expanding electric vehicle market, and we are happy to offer drivers an unparalleled experience on both dry and wet roads, whether for conventional or electric vehicles,” Ang said.
“We are confident that these tires will live up to, if not exceed, the expectations of drivers seeking the ultimate tire performance,” he added. “These new tires are a testament to Maxxis’ commitment to innovation and delivering top-tier products to the market.”

3 for CST
Meanwhile, the more budget-oriented CST brand has a new flagship off-road tire with the Sahara AT318, which is meant for 50 percent on-road and 50-percent off-road use.
With its rugged tiger tooth shoulder, wide zigzag tread and reinforced casing, it promises 25-percent-better durability and control on gravel, sand and mud. In addition, the aggressive tread improves off-road handling by up to 20 percent, while ride comfort is improved by 15 percent even on the roughest terrain.
EV owners have yet more choice thanks to the Saleks EX-1, which gets an advanced, diamond-inspired tread and sidewall design to reduce rolling resistance. In addition, its full silica compound offers long tread life, while its enhanced water dispersion and puncture resistance ensure consistent grip and safety.
And for riders of scooters with up to 150cc, the Scoop CM-SC01 has staggered tread grooves to improve water dispersion, while its advanced tread profile provides consistent grip, even during aggressive cornering. The tire’s nano-silica rubber compound also boosts road contact, promising reliable control and responsiveness when you need it most.
“All three are high-performing, innovative and durable tires,” Ang said. “All are engineered to provide exceptional performance in diverse terrains, meet specific needs on the road and satisfy drivers’ demands in specific conditions. Both their design and construction deliver the confidence and capability that drivers look for.”
AP Blue Whale Corporation said all patterns are now available in authorized dealers, with up to five months holding inventory in its warehouse. For more peace of mind, the company said Maxxis and CST tires have a seven-year warranty from the date of invoice (not from the production date).
