New Audi Q7 is the definitive premium family SUV

Avatar

Designed to accommodate seven passengers in supreme comfort while offering a suite of intelligent features, the new Audi Q7 further solidifies its position as the definitive full-size premium SUV for the family by earning a 2025 Top Safety Pick+ rating from the prestigious USA organization Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The IIHS awarded the new Q7 its highest safety rating as the SUV performed exceptionally well in rigorous crash tests — which have become more stringent for 2025, resulting in fewer vehicles qualifying for evaluations.

The new Q7 earned a top “good” rating in rear-passenger safety during a moderate-overlap front collision test, and also received the highest scores in the small-overlap front and side-impact evaluations. The model was cited as well for its pedestrian front crash prevention system, which performed effectively in both daytime and nighttime conditions.

Combined with the new Q7’s class-leading safety features is an abundance of cabin space. Audi’s signature design philosophy has created a refined and spacious interior where generous headroom, elbow room, and legroom are afforded to both front and rear passengers.

The new Q7’s second-row seats can be individually adjusted. The third row provides seating for two, with each seat able to fold electrically to expand cargo capacity.

The luggage compartment boasts a best-in-class volume, accessible via an electrically powered tailgate that responds to a simple swipe gesture. Convenience is further elevated by power-latching soft-close doors.

Luxury permeates every element in the new Q7’s cabin, which is hallmarked by premium materials and cutting-edge technology. Brushed aluminum inlays, the Audi virtual cockpit plus, an updated MMI system, and a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system enhance the driving experience. Comfort is assured by four-zone air-conditioning, leather seats, and the ambient LED interior lighting package plus that provides a vast selection of customizable colors.

Characterizing the new Q7’s exterior are its bold Audi Singleframe grille featuring octagonal patterns and vertical inlays, matrix LED headlights with dynamic turn signals, daytime running lights that have been repositioned higher, and striking LED rear lights.

Further amplifying the SUV’s presence are the Black Appearance package, 20-inch five-twin-spoke design wheels, and the 2D-look Audi rings logo. Additional enhancements, including larger air intakes, refined door trim, and integrated tailpipes contribute to a more dynamic and assertive stance.

Matching the new Q7’s safety and luxury features is performance. The model is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder TFSI gasoline engine delivering 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque. Paired with an eight-speed tiptronic transmission and Audi’s legendary quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system, the new Q7 sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds, with an electronically governed top speed of 250 km/h.

To ensure the new Q7 has excellent ride quality, the SUV has adaptive air suspension with controlled damping. It keeps the vehicle level even while it is cornering, accelerating, or braking hard. And, depending on the mode chosen through the Audi drive select function, the system can make the luxury SUV handle more firmly in spirited driving, or ride quite comfortably while cruising.

With this blend of interior space, safety features, contemporary design, and performance, the new Q7 offers a true first-class experience for seven.
