With the Philippines being an emerging economy, it is no surprise that the trend for SUVs big or small has been well sustained over the years.

The preference for SUVs is proven by the fact that it is the segment now experiencing the fastest growth in the market mainly because of factors like versatility, higher ground clearance, and increased passenger capacity.

When Lynk & Co was officially introduced to the Philippines last year by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), the direction was quite clear with the mindset that the crossover SUV and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) market will continue to grow.

Lynk & Co 900

Three of the first batch of five models Lynk & Co is currently selling are SUVs and the latest it will be adding to its fleet is yet another SUV, the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P SUV, a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle that was unveiled at the Manila International Auto Show 2025.

The 08 EM-P made known Lynk & Co’s “The Next Day” design language, blending sporty aesthetics with high-tech elements with features like an adaptive hybrid system, a pure electric driving range of up to 200 km, and a combined hybrid range of over 1,000 km.

At the ongoing 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, Lynk & Co upped the SUV ante with the latest technology that is tipped to compete with the giants. And more numbers to call its latest model.

Nine, zero, zero

That’s how Lynk & Co wants people to exclaim when they see that huge luxury hybrid SUV whizzing by. The 900 is tipped as the future of premium, executive SUVs as it is meticulously crafted for families who seek a premium driving experience without compromising on versatility, spaciousness, and cutting-edge technology.

The 900’s six-seater configuration ensures ample room for the entire family, while its design language exudes modern sophistication and a commanding road presence.

Even before it was presented at Auto Shanghai its official market launch, there has been a global anticipation for the Lynk & Co 90 with over 40,000 pre-orders.

Built on the SPA (Scalable Platform Architecture) Evo architecture, the six-seater combines class-leading 88.2% space efficiency with innovative 180-degree rotating second-row seats, targeting premium family buyers seeking versatile cabin configurations. The intelligent cockpit features front and rear 30-inch 6K displays driven by dual Qualcomm 8295 chips, delivering 60 TOPS computing power for eight-screen coordination via the LYNK Fly Me Auto system.

Powering the SUV is a 2.0T plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain with 3-speed DHT Pro transmission and dual rear motors, generating 650kW total output to achieve 0-100km/h acceleration in 4.3 seconds – positioning the 900 as one of the fastest electrified SUVs in its segment, and with a pure electric range of around 270km.

An interesting feature is a front end sprinkled with over 10,000 dots or LEDs, a groundbreaking “light screen” capable of displaying messages and animations. It is also designed to ride independently as it offers up to Level 3 (H7) autonomous driving.

The recent advancements in design and technology notwithstanding, Lynk & Co’s integration with the Zeekr Group, ensures a better and a more promising future for the brand.

And Lynk & Co’s growing market base can look forward to enjoying its commitment to furthering smart, sustainable, affordable and safe mobility for all.
