Porsche launches 1,156-hp all-new Cayenne Electric
Porsche has launched the all-new Cayenne Electric, the first fully electric version of its flagship SUV and the most powerful production model the brand has ever built. The new Cayenne Electric expands Porsche’s all-electric lineup, complementing the Taycan and Macan models.
The existing combustion engine and plug-in hybrid models of the Cayenne will continue to be offered alongside the new Cayenne Electric, allowing customers to choose the powertrain that works best for them.
Upon launch, the all-electric Cayenne family is initially composed of two models: the Cayenne Electric and the Cayenne Turbo Electric, both equipped with two electric motors and all-wheel drive systems.
The new Cayenne Turbo Electric produces 1,156 hp and 1,500 Nm of torque, which allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and reach 260 km/h. The standard model makes 442 hp and 835 Nm of torque, and can reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 4.8 seconds.
With a new 113 kWh battery, the new Cayenne Electric has a range of up to 642 kms (according to WLTP). The vehicle’s electric architecture uses 800-volt technology and can charge at up to 400 kW. This means charging from 10% to 80% can take less than 16 minutes.
Technology derived from Porsche’s Formula E program gives the new Cayenne Electric the capability to recover up to 600 kW of energy. The model’s electric motors handle 97% of all braking operations during daily drives, significantly contributing to energy recuperation.

Inside the new Cayenne Electric, Porsche has placed major emphasis on digital features. The model’s cabin is built around the new Porsche Driver Experience, which introduces the largest display area ever fitted to a Porsche — a curved OLED center display for multimedia, navigation, and vehicle functions that is paired with a fully digital 14.25-inch instrument cluster. An optional passenger display adds another 14.9-inch screen, giving the front passenger access to the infotainment system. A head-up AR display is also offered for the first time in the Cayenne.
All the displays are seamlessly embedded into the interior architecture. In contrast, the buttons and controls for frequently used functions, such as air-conditioning and audio volume, are analog. A hand rest helps enable the driver to operate the digital and analog controls even during dynamic driving.
In its exterior, the new Cayenne Electric combines Porsche’s signature proportions with a clearly developed design language. Highlights include the low hood with slim Matrix LED headlights that emphasize the width of the vehicle and which combine all lighting functions into one module. The sculpted fenders are also very typical of other Porsche designs, as is the iconic “flyline.”
Characterizing the SUV’s side are frameless windows, creases on the door surface, and side skirts with three-dimensional design and contrasting color to underscore the new Cayenne Electric’s off-road capability.
At the rear, a light strip with a distinctive 3D look and animated graphics, as well as the illuminated Porsche lettering, underline the modern design language.
The new Cayenne Electric’s exterior design produces a drag coefficient of only 0.25, making the model among the most aerodynamic SUVs. Additional active aerodynamic elements, such as cooling flaps, air curtains, adaptive roof spoiler, and rear aeroblades with extendable edges further enhance the model’s aerodynamic efficiency.
With the new Cayenne Electric, Porsche reaches a new level of performance that sets the standards in all-electric mobility.
