Rivera, Irinco book trips to Japan as 23rd Mitsubishi Skills Olympics winners

Raymond Rivera of Carworld and Jose Irinco of Diamond Motor Corp. booked a trip to Japan for a tougher next level competition after sharing the top awards during the 23rd Mitsubishi Skills Olympics (MSO) held last January 11, 2025 at MMPC Training Center in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Riviera won the Service Advisor category while Irinco topped the Technician category of the annual event hosted by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) that showcases the skills and expertise of its dealer personnel. As a reward, they earned the right to represent their respective dealerships at the Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) Global Service Skills Competition in Japan this December.

Carworld Inc., meanwhile, emerged as the overall grand champion, securing top awards across multiple categories and demonstrating the highest level of excellence. Carworld, Inc. also won one of the two new categories introduced this year, the Warranty Officer through Allan Santiago.

Completing the winners rosters were Jonathan Elvis Obispo in the Sales Executive contest and Realyn Garbin in the Sales Customer Relations Officer category which was the other new contest introduced. Both Obispo and Garbin are from Union Motor Corp. The Service Customer Relations Officer Contest champion was Sharias Paragon of SFM Sales Corp.

MMPC president and CEO Ritsu Imaeda shared his pride in the event’s success and the participants’ dedication: “The Mitsubishi Skills Olympics is more than a competition—it is a celebration of our dealership network’s commitment to excellence and their role in delivering the best customer experiences.”

The Mitsubishi Skills Olympics is a testament to MMPC’s commitment to the professional growth of its dealership network, designed to challenge participants, elevate their competencies, and reinforce the brand’s dedication to customer satisfaction.

In the Technician Contest, Irinco won over Daryll Afable of Gateway Motors Cebu, Inc. and Bautista Rivera of Carworld Inc. while Rivera claimed the top award ahead of Edler Cabil of Northpoint Alliance Motor Corp. and Shiela May G. Pamuceno of Union Motor Corp.

Completing the top three in the Sales Executive contest with Obispo were Zandro Luis Asprer of Carworld Inc. and Allen Rench Alfonso of Bluebird Motors Corp.; while in the Sales Customer Relations Officer Contest, Redelyn Jenny Santiago of Global Excellence Motors, Inc. and Rea Gecale of Karasia Inc. finished behind Garmin.

Parangan finished ahead of Naia Tabingo of Jabez Motors and Maridin Andrei G. Peña of Union Motor Corp. in the Service Customer Relations Officer Contest while Santiago bested Ronnel B. Acobo of Diamond Motor Corp. and Albert Castro of Freeway Motor Sales of Baliuag Corp. in the Warranty Officer Contest.
