Synergizing for success

It was a year for the books for Synergyauto Ventures Corporation (SVC), which operates Nissan Alabang, Nissan Dasmarinas, Nissan Sucat and the recently opened Nissan Carmona.
The group got the “triple crown” at Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI)’s 2025 Dealer of the Year Awards (DOYA) held earlier this month. Nissan Alabang took home the Nissan Global Award, which is the “highest recognition given to a dealership that reflects Nissan’s global standards of operational excellence and customer service,” NPI said in a press statement.
Nissan Alabang was also named the 2025 Dealer of the Year in the National Capital Region (NCR) category, while Nissan Dasmarinas got the 2025 Dealer of the Year award for the Provincial Category. This is the first time that a single dealer group won in all major DOYA categories.
“It’s a testament to the dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment of every single individual in our dealership – from sales to aftersales to marketing, customer experience and finance,” SVC president Tey Sornet told Inquirer Mobility in an exclusive interview.
“This isn’t just an award – it’s a validation of our collective pursuit of excellence and our commitment to upholding Nissan’s global standards,” Sornet added.
‘Record-shattering success’
Sornet attributes SVC’s “record-shattering success” to five key factors – customer-centric approach, team excellence, operational efficiency, strong partnership with NPI, and resilience and adaptability.
“Our team is our greatest asset,” he said. “We foster a culture of continuous learning, professional development and empowerment. Every employee is trained to be an expert in their field and to deliver service that exceeds expectations.”
Meanwhile, SVC chief financial officer Paul Tionson pointed to the power of synergies, even across multiple departments in their group.
“Each team, each function works not only to advance its respective agenda, but also works for the collective success of the company,” he told Inquirer Mobility in an exclusive interview.
“We are also proud to have leaders that lead by example in our management committee, able to communicate our shared vision across our organization and, more importantly, drive action that moves toward that vision.” Tionson added.
Marching to dominance
On the back of this huge success, Sornet said SVC is now more driven than before to expand their market share and customer base in four ways, namely sustained growth and territory dominance, enhanced customer experience, employee development and well-being, and operational optimization.
“We’re committed to innovating every touchpoint of the customer journey, from initial inquiry to long-term service,” he said. “Our goal is to create even more seamless, personalized and, ultimately, satisfying experiences that keep our customers coming back to our dealerships, ensuring we remain the undisputed leader in the South Luzon, Cavite and Laguna areas.”
“We’re constantly seeking ways to refine our operations,” Sornet added. “By maximizing efficiency and profitability, we’re not only strengthening our own business, but also reinforcing the value and reputation of the Nissan brand within our sphere of influence.”
Meanwhile, Tionson thanked all of their clients for their continuous support.
“Our success is all the more rewarding because we put all of you first,” he said. “We are committed to making sure that we continue to add value to your car-ownership experience. We hope we can continue to help you find the right Nissan vehicle and to deliver best-in-class aftersales services.”
Resilience
SVC was among the 56 NPI dealers that contributed to the Japanese carmaker’s 26,774 unit sales last year, making Nissan the fourth-largest automotive brand in the country.
The 2025 DOYA also honored dealerships across several categories: Best in Quick Voice of Customer (QVOC) Sales – Nissan Dumaguete, Best in QVOC Aftersales – Nissan Dasmariñas, Fleet Dealer of the Year (Provincial) – Nissan Baliwag, Fleet Dealer of the Year (NCR) – Nissan Commonwealth, Parts Team of the Year – Nissan Tarlac, and Service Team of the Year – Nissan Alabang.
Other NPI dealers that were recognized include: Nissan Customer Connect Dealer Team of the Year – Nissan General Santos, Dealer Customer Experience Team of the Year – Nissan Bohol, Finance Team of the Year – Nissan Cabanatuan, Brand Excellence Award – Nissan North EDSA, Excellence in Sales – Nissan Alabang, Excellence in Aftersales – Nissan Dasmariñas, and Excellence in Business Sustainability – Nissan Bacolod.
“Our annual Dealer of the Year Awards give us the opportunity to recognize the passion and commitment of our partners,” said NPI president Masao Tsutsumi.
“As we honor the performance of these outstanding dealers, we also renew our focus on working together with our dealer partners to elevate the Nissan experience across the country,” he added.
With dealers as driven as SVC, it looks like Nissan may be well on its way to unseating Ford Philippines and joining the top three best-sellers in the Philippines.
