After its parade in Alabang Town Center in Muntinlupa City, the Kia Movement now headed to Ayala Marquee Mall in Angeles, Pampanga over the weekend.
From Muntinlupa City, it traveled more than 100km in Angeles to treat Kapampangans to an amazing spectacle from the South Korean carmaker.

23-year global icon now in a turbo hybrid version
Just this year, the newest Kia Sorento was unveiled.
This newest offering is a testament to the South Korean carmaker’s commitment to sustainable mobility and innovation. For the first time in its 23-year global history, the Kia Sorento nameplate ups the ante with its topnotch hybrid technology. This gives the local market another green mobility option that combines exceptional fuel efficiency all the while providing a robust all-wheel drive performance.
At the heart of this seven-seater behemoth is a 1.6-liter turbocharged Smartstream gasoline direct injection engine paired with an electric motor and a lithium-ion traction battery.
This intelligent hybrid powertrain, mated to six-speed automatic tranny churns out a combined output of 232 hp and 367 N-m of torque.
Available in front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) variants, this SUV comes equipped with three selectable drive modes—Eco, Sport, and Smart—as well as rain-specific options—Snow, Mud, and Sand, thus making it a true go-anywhere renegade.
What’s more, throw Kia’s innovative electrification vehicle motion control (E-VMC) system into the mix and one, so they say, gets a remarkably comfortable, responsive, and adaptable driving experience.
E-VMC technology features E-Handling, E-Ride, and E-Evasive Handling Assist systems that make use of the electric motor to improve riding comfort and driving stability on and off the road.
Moreover, its smart regeneration feature maximizes the system’s battery regeneration function by automatically selecting regeneration intensity based on vehicle distance, speed, and road when coasting, making the slope traction battery operating at optimum levels.
In fact, with all its combined performances, it is claimed that the vehicle can squeeze up to 23km/L even in city driving.
The three variants of the Sorento are priced as follows: the EX Turbo Hybrid FWD at P2,188,000; the mid-trim EX+ Turbo Hybrid FWD at P 2,588,000; and the range-topping SX Turbo Hybrid AWD at P2,888,000.
Seltos Pride
Derived from the offspring of the powerful Greek god, Hercules, this chic, stylish and classy city slicker has been Kia’s staple in jam-packed compact crossover category for several years now.
This latest Kia Seltos SX is more refined and redefined to take on any adventure.
Its exterior details are futuristic, making it a standout amid a crowded field small crossovers. The larger grille highlights width and gives it a stronger appearance. This is then coupled by new LED headlamps. The so-called “Star Map” signature lighting across the front fascia creates a distinct picture of the vehicle, complementing its confident and rugged stance.
Inside, its futuristic vibe spills over, coming alive with its bright screens and modern sharp looks. At the centerpiece is the “segment-first” panoramic screen, combining the 10.25-inch instrument cluster and 10.25-inch center display.
This Kia Seltos 1.4 Turbo SX AT is offered in the local market for P1,688,000.
Full electric winner
Meanwhile, making Kia’s display truly special is the presence of its world-class winner, the full electric vehicle EV6 GT line.
The Kia EV6 has garnered over 30 global awards, including “2022 European Car of the Year,” “2023 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year,” and “2023 World Performance Car,” recognizing its driving performance, technology, safety, and design.
The EV6’s 77.4kWh battery can reach up to 528km of driving range. This full electric offering is available for P3,788,000.
