TMP Foundation completes turnover of mobile clinics to LGUs through “Lab for All”

Toyota Motor Philippines Foundation (TMPF), in partnership with Metrobank Foundation (MBFI), completed the turnover of five mobile clinics to local government units (LGUs) under the First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos’s “Lab for All” program.
The turnover ceremony for the fifth Toyota Coaster unit was held during the “Lab for All” caravan at the Basey Municipal Gymnasium in Basey, Samar, with First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos in attendance. This marks the completion of the commitment, with previous units turned over to Bacolod City, Pasig City, Santa Catalina (Ilocos Sur), and Tacloban City.
The “Lab for All” program is a grassroots initiative that aims to provide free and accessible healthcare services to Filipinos, particularly in underserved communities, by delivering laboratory, consultation, and medicines to the people.
The two private-led foundations supported this objective by providing converted Toyota Coaster units equipped with essential laboratory and medical devices, including electrocardiogram machine, ultrasound machine, and x-ray machine. These mobile clinics are designed to bring healthcare services closer to those who need them most, ensuring that even remote communities have access to vital medical support.
The “Lab for All” initiative aligns with TMPF’s thrust on Health, one of the key pillars of its operations. Since its establishment in 1990, the foundation is committed to contributing to building healthier communities by strengthening its support for healthcare initiatives.
Toyota believes that mobility extends beyond just transportation; it includes enabling access to essential services like healthcare,” TMP First Vice President for Corporate Affairs Josephine Villanueva said during the turnover ceremony in Samar.
“This Toyota Coaster, equipped with medical laboratory and devices, will provide the constituents of Samar and neighboring municipalities and barangays with greater access to much-needed medical services, supporting the delivery of healthcare services to the underprivileged.”
The partnership highlights the collaboration between public and private sectors, particularly with the Office of the First Lady, LGUs, TMPF and MBFI.
