Vespa PH debuts 180cc Primavera, Sprint at Makina Moto 2026
Vespa officially launched a pair of all-new, 180cc models at recent Makina Moto 2026 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Piaggio Philippines Corporation, the new official importer and distributor of the Italian motorcycle brand locally, said in a press statement that the Primavera and Sprint are continuations of Vespa’s goal to offer a motorized vehicle that occupies a rare space between art, architecture and wearable luxury.
“To own a Vespa is to acquire a piece of Italian culture, a statement as deliberate as a bespoke suit from a Milanese tailor,” the company said. “This new 180cc generation introduces refined elements that speak to the connoisseur.”
The Piaggio Group announced last October 2025 that it would establish a direct subsidiary in the Philippines to handle Vespa, Piaggio, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi. Helmed by Massimiliano Guelfo, Piaggio Philippines Corporation takes over from longtime Vespa distributor Moto Italia Philippines Incorporated of industry veteran Willy Tee Ten.

Italian style, modern tech
The Primavera has three variants in the Philippines, namely the Standard model at P218,000, the Primavera S at P228,000 and the top-of-the-line Primavera Tech at P268,000.
Besides having newly designed rims and a revamped speedometer, the new Vespa has a four-stroke, three-valve, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine with 14.75 horsepower and 13.7 Newton-meters of torque. Meanwhile, the sportier Sprint gets the same 180cc motor, along with a high-definition dashboard in the top-spec Tech variant.
The lineup starts at P238,000 for the Standard variant, P248,000 for the Sprint S and P288,000 for the Sprint Tech. In addition, the Primavera and Sprint feature a Keyless Start system that replaces the traditional ignition, while advanced anti-lock brakes provide more confident and more composed stopping power.
“For the Filipino owner, choosing a Vespa communicates a worldliness and a refusal to settle for the anonymous,” Piaggio Philippines Corporation said.
“Every curve, from the architectural flow of the rims to the intuitive interface of the dashboard, has been refined through a process mirroring the great European workshops – slow, deliberate, and guided by beauty,” the company added. “It is, in the truest sense, a fashion accessory – one that happens to move.”
The all-new Vespa Primavera and Sprint are now available in authorized dealerships nationwide. Other Vespa models include the 125cc S, the 300cc GTS and the 300cc GTV.
