Volvo Philippines officially launched on Thursday its newest flagship models as it enters a new era of electrified mobility.

The Swedish automaker unveiled the ES90 executive liftback and the EX90 three-row crossover, which are both luxury battery-electric vehicles (EV). These join the brand’s existing models, as of press time – the EX30 compact crossover EV, along with the XC60 and XC90 plug-in-hybrid EVs.

“With the launch of the Volvo ES90 Ultra BEV and EX90 Ultra BEV, we are introducing not only Volvo’s next-generation electric vehicles in the Philippines, but also the principle of shaping a future that values safety and responsibility,” said Maria Fe Perez-Agudo, who is vice chair, president and CEO of Volvo Philippines official distributor Hariphil Asia Resources Inc.

“Every detail, from the sophisticated design to the intuitive digital innovations, is engineered to elevate the journey, setting a new benchmark for refined electric mobility with the elegance of Scandinavian design for both discerning executives and modern families, for today and tomorrow,” she added.

The all-new Volvo ES90 and EX90 battery-electric vehicles serve as the brand’s new flagships in the Philippines.

Sleek Swede

Volvo Philippines said the all-new ES90 liftback combines classic sedan proportions with modern Swedish design, resulting in a slippery 0.25 drag coefficient for better energy efficiency at higher speeds.

Inside, this big Volvo’s 3,102-millimeter wheelbase and low interior noise (up to 70 decibels) allow for truly comfortable journeys, whether you’re working or resting. Other luxury features include electrically adjustable and air-conditioned seats, along with a panoramic electrochromic glass roof to let in more natural light.

The ES90 is also the first four-door Volvo to get 800-volt architecture that not only includes improved thermal efficiency, but also faster DC-charging times – Volvo Philippines claims a maximum WLTP range of 700 kilometers on a single full charge. In addition, Next-Generation Pilot Assist provides Lane Keeping, Adaptive Cruise Control and Navigation Support for safer trips.

The 2026 Volvo ES90 Ultra is priced at P5,265,000.

Luxury for 7

Meanwhile, executives who need a full seven-seater can get the all-new EX90, which features a flat floor to maximize interior space.

Individually adjustable first-and-second-row seats, cinema-style seating, power-folding rear seats and USB-C connectivity across all rows ensure comfort and convenience for every passenger. There’s also advanced LED lighting that mimics natural sunlight, along with a four-zone climate control system with PM2.5 air purification to enhance the cabin’s air quality.

The EX90 is powered by dual electric motors and a 111-kWh battery for a combined output of 456 horsepower and 770 Newton-meters of torque that are coursed through all four wheels. Volvo Philippines claims up to 624 kilometers of maximum WLTP range, while ultra-fast DC charging allows for charging from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 22 minutes.

Finally, the EX90 comes standard with Volvo Safe Space Technology, which is an advanced safety ecosystem that delivers advanced collision avoidance, full-cabin occupant sensing and comprehensive protection for drivers, passengers, pedestrians and other road users. It also has over-the-air updates to help the car stay safe and relevant, even after decades of faithful service.

The 2026 Volvo EX90 Ultra is priced at P5,990,000.
