Watts up at PIMS
Following the massive success of Manila International just last month, the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) plans to, at least, go with the same direction.
Half of the vehicle displays at the upcoming 10th Philippine International Motor Show will be electrified vehicles (xEVs). If you look at MIAS, they displayed roughly 80 to 90 percent of xEVs at their 250-car display.
With 17 car brands at the upcoming 10th PIMS, this is, by far, one of the biggest, if not the biggest, CAMPI is doing.
“When 17 exhibiting brands compete against each other in one show, presenting their very best under one roof, the Filipino Customer will surely win,” said CAMPI president, Jing Atieza, during his speech.

“Under the theme: Forward in Every Drive, the 2026 PIMS underscores our aim in fostering a vibrant and competitive auto industry. One that is always moving ahead as a primary mobility provider to the Filipino motorists, and constantly evolving with appropriate technologies and solutions to address the changing customer needs,” he added.
According to him, there will soon be 32 brands under CAMPI.
“We commit to be a strong partner of the government and various stakeholders in nation building,” he continued.
For him, the motorshow, which began in 2007, becomes even more relevant now, as the country confronts challenges related to the ongoing fuel crisis.
“We will present various choices and options, knowing full well that there is no single solution to the problems we face today and those that we will surely encounter from here,” said Atienza.
For the public, it offers a chance to experience innovations up close through the wide selection of energy-saving cars from energy efficient internal combustuon vehicles, various electrified options covering hybrids, plugin hybrids and battery electric vehicles.
Happening on June 4-7, 2026 at the World Trade Center Manila in Pasay City, CAMPI’s biennial flagship motor show reflects a collaborative industry approach to addressing evolving mobility demands, with a focus on delivering solutions that are relevant, efficient, and innovative.

The 10th PIMS will feature car exhibits and driving activities from 17 of the automotive brands, offering a comprehensive showcase of the latest industry trends and innovations.
Participating brands include BAIC, Chery, Foton, Geely, Honda, Isuzu, Jetour, Kia, MG, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Omoda and Jaecoo, Subaru, Suzuki, Tesla, Toyota, and VinFast.
Meanwhile, CAMPI PR committee head, Elvin Luciano divulged that they will be expecting more than 150 vehicle models on display and available for test drive.
“With around 75 electrified models, making up roughly 50 percent of the lineup, a clear reflection of how quickly the industry is diversifying,” he said.
“In addition, we are bringing in at least 18 automotive aftermarket exhibitors, further expanding what visitors can explore beyond vehicles, with support from key partners such as BPI and Motul, and more exhibitors to be announced soon,” Luciano added.
