Welcome to the UAAGI-verse

In the ‘multiverse’ of our own local automotive industry, United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI) stands out at the forefront of Chinese brands, particularly since the company has been the known ‘Mao Zedongs’ of this segment in our own turf.

For starters, UAAGI first began with the brand Foton almost 20 years ago. Through the years, it was able to develop the brand until the company was able to establish a reputable household name, not just for the brand, but for the company itself. Hence, with good seeds planted, its portfolio of vehicle brands eventually grew. From Foton, UAAGI was able to revive the brand, Chery, while BAIC and premium Swedish-Chinese marque Lynk & Co soon followed.

Now, in the upcoming 2024 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) to be held at the World Trade Center and SMX Center at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, UAAGI will be able to showcase decades of hard work and dedication coming into fruition. Here, the company will be creating its own “universe” wherein spectators of the show can view all the vehicles of these various brands and, at the same time, test drive them in just one venue. Dubbed as: “The UAAGI Performance Center,” this centralized test drive arena allows prospective car buyers to translate these static displays into an immersive test drive experience. This not only transports them into the heart of the action, but also allows them to acquaint themselves first-hand with the vehicles.

“At the UAAGI Performance Center, we aim to provide Filipino car buyers with a wholly immersive experience and believe in going beyond static displays,” said UAAGI chairman Rommel L. Sytin.

According to him, the facility will allow car enthusiasts to truly connect with their vehicles, test their capabilities, and feel the exhilaration of driving them.

“It’s a testament to our commitment to customer satisfaction,” he added.

Furthermore, the venue is designed to help customers make auto purchasing decisions more efficiently. Here, various driving tracks and setups have been assembled to simulate different driving conditions. These consist of a technical 4×4 track, wherein vehicles are able to feature their abilities to tackle an off-road terrain of humps, curves, high angles, and waist-deep waters. Also, to make it more interesting, a thoughtfully calculated mini-gymkhana will allow drivers to go through their paces.

After the test drive, visitors will also get to find business centers for “all things UAAGI” as respective booths for each of its brands are situated in both the World Trade and SMX Centers. These will serve as a one-stop shop and likewise an area for other business transactions, from discussing reservations to even initiating vehicle purchasing processes.

With this, UAAGI is making sure that these transactions will be a “fast, fun, and rewarding experience” for everyone.
