2 cops in hot water for causing a scene in QC bar
Two police officers were arrested for causing a public disturbance and damaging property in a KTV bar on Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City on Wednesday.
A corporal and a patrolman assigned at the city’s Holy Spirit police station were allegedly drunk when they entered the bar past 1 a.m. and started making a scene, according to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
It reported that the two lawmen allegedly began throwing ice cubes at waiters and other customers.
“In the course of their unruly behavior, they damaged a glass painting frame and their actions caused alarm and panic that forced customers to vacate the premises,” the NCRPO said.
Complaints for alarm and scandal, and malicious mischief were filed against the two police officers, with the case turned over to the Quezon City police’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit.
