3 Chinese nationals among 7 suspects arrested for kidnapping

Seven suspects, three of them Chinese nationals, have been arrested for allegedly kidnapping three female foreigners in Parañaque City, according to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO). The abduction happened early Monday after the suspects entered the house in Multinational Village rented by the victims, two Chinese and a Vietnamese. They then destroyed the closed-circuit television cameras in the house, seized the cellphones of the victims’ driver and house helper, and took the victims away in a white van.

After the victims’ driver alerted authorities to the kidnapping, the police found the suspects’ hideout within the same village around 12 hours later. Arrested were Liu Yujie, 39; Weichun Xu, 35; and Donbo Lyu, 35; all Chinese nationals; and Jon Jon Osquiza, 45; Jerico Mamaril, 29; Brian Barado, 33; and Ruel Arenas, 42. The NCRPO said that their investigation of the incident was still under way.
