8 antidrug cops face administrative case

Jason Sigales

Eight antidrug operatives from the Eastern Police District (EPD) already facing criminal charges for allegedly robbing residents of a house in Pasig City have been slapped with an administrative complaint as well before the Philippine National Police Internal Affairs Service (IAS).

“The charges against them range from less grave misconduct to grave misconduct and conduct unbecoming of a police officer.

These are serious charges since the possible penalty for all of them is dismissal from the service,” Police Inspector-General Atty. Brigido Dulay said on Tuesday.

The administrative case was filed by the victims who said the antidrug police officers entered their house in Barangay Palatiw last week without a warrant.
