The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Tuesday that the eight Filipino seafarers who were rescued from MV Eternity C after it was attacked by Houthi rebels in the Red Sea are now safe in the custody of the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah, the Migrant Workers’ Office-Jeddah, and their shipping agency.

“The rescued Filseafarers will undergo mandatory medical assessment before their scheduled repatriation,” the DFA said.
