ACC Philippines, Nat’l Museum hold exhibit for a cause

The Asian Cultural Council Philippines (ACCP) has partnered with the National Museum to host “Layers and Shadows,” an exhibition showcasing the works of award-winning artist Demi Padua.

As part of the ACCP special events celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, the exhibit is being held also in support of the council’s mission to foster cultural exchange and development through the ACC Philippine Fellowship Program

The program seeks to advance the careers of Filipino artists, scholars, and cultural practitioners by providing opportunities for growth and international collaboration, while showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage.

Open to public

Padua is a Filipino artist renowned for his striking portraits and trompe l’oeil technique. Marked by intricate and layered executions, his works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions in the country and abroad.

He won the grand prize in the 2013 Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Tanaw Art Competition. Padua also reaped awards from the Art Association of the Philippines, GSIS Museum and Metrobank.
