Alice Guo readied for jail transfer

Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo has completed medical tests in preparation for her transfer to the Correctional Institution for Women “within the week,” the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) said on Thursday.
Guo, who is at the Pasig City Jail, was convicted of qualified human trafficking and sentenced to life imprisonment.
She was fined P2 million over the alleged criminal activities of an illegal Philippine offshore gaming operator (Pogo) hub in Bamban town.
“We are completing the requirements for Alice Guo’s transfer and her two other coaccused.
We will transfer them as soon as practicable,” BJMP spokesperson Jail Superintendent Jayrex Bustinera said.
