Cancabato Bay fish kill under probe

TACLOBAN CITY—The cause of a fish kill that left about 300 kilos of dead fish in Cancabato Bay remains undetermined as authorities await water quality test results from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environmental Management Bureau 8.
Officials are investigating possible human intervention and environmental factors, including fish becoming trapped in the ongoing tide embankment project.
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources advised the public not to collect, consume or sell dead fish from the affected area while the investigation continues.
