Chinese fugitive nabbed upon embassy’s request

Chinese national Chen Yongzhou, a fugitive in his country wanted for his alleged involvement in an online syndicate targeting victims in China, was arrested last month in Parañaque City, the Bureau of Immigration said on Monday.

The agency said the Chinese Embassy had sought his deportation.

Records showed that Chen, 39, arrived here in 2018 as a tourist and had overstayed until his arrest on Oct. 14.
