Cops arrest ‘disruptive’ Russian vlogger

Authorities have arrested a Russian vlogger who was tagged as an undesirable alien after he went viral on social media for harassing Filipinos in Taguig City.
Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, 33, was arrested at a hotel in Pasay City on Wednesday in an operation led by the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and Bureau of Immigration (BI).
“His recent video filmed in BGC (Bonifacio Global City) … has sparked outrage due to his alleged disruptive and inappropriate behavior toward unsuspecting and friendly Filipinos,” CIDG chief Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre III said in a statement.
“We have read the online outrage and we coordinated with other authorities for proper actions against the subject. We cannot just let this incident pass,” he said.
In one of Zdorovetskiy’s posts, he appeared to threaten a woman when she refused to appear in his vlog despite being offered money in exchange.
He was also seen grabbing a security guard’s hat and running off with it. In another clip, he stole an industrial fan from a restaurant and brought it to his hotel.
Zdorovetskiy was taken to the BI detention facility in Bicutan while awaiting deportation proceedings.
